Why don’t the numbers add up?
I just scanned a piece of pork loin from the supermarket. The info came up (per 2 oz): 85 calories 0 carbs 4 fat 10 protein So...if carbs and protein are 4 calories per gram and fat is 9 calories per gram, how come that only adds up to 76 calories, yet the nutritional information, from the grocery store is over 10%…

Total or net calories?
When doing a strict CICO diet plan as well as maintaining a steady execercise program, is it more important to focus on TOTAL calories consumed or NET calories at the end of the day? I’d appreciate a hand from all you MFP pros out there. Thanks.

Seniors in Georgia?
I am 63, retired and live in Sharpsburg, GA. I’ve lost 42 lbs since Feb. and want to lose another 30 by Labor Day. I walk 3 miles every morning and I was looking for any seniors who are looking for friends and/or motivation. Thanks.

How come?
Why is it that if I take something from the grocery store with a bar code, scan it with MFP, the numbers I get are different than what’s printed on the package to begin with? Anybody got a clue? Thanks.

This MFP app
Is anyone else getting a little fed up with this app? I don’t know about you but the one I’m using on my iPad stinks. It slows down almost immediately after opening, crashes constantly and is generally unresponsive. Is it me or does this program have issues? Thanks

Retired guy in Sharpsburg, GA.
I have been using MFP since Feb this year and am down 60 to about 212. I workout (brisk walk on the treadmill) 5x a week at a local gym. Goal is 200 by Labor Day. Then 180 by Thanksgiving. I think I can make it. Anybody else local?

Bad cramps
Hi, I am 63, in good health but have decided to lose 50 lbs or so. I am currently about 250. About 2 weeks ago, I started walking at a moderate pace (3.2 mph) for 40 minutes 3x a week.
