How important are rest days?
Hi, I'm following a programme similar to couch to 5k and every other day is meant to be a rest day but I'm kind of hyped up, the workouts are going well and I'm not experiencing any excessive aches or pains. Am I ok to skip rest days?

Any carb counters? Diabetic query...
I'm just wondering how many carbs people aim to eat? I'm trying out a new regime with my diabetes but still wanting to lose weight. I'm averaging 200 a day the last couple of days since I started this plan but my sugar levels have stablised nicely.

Breathless today
Just wondering if anyone can help me figure out what was going on with my body today. I did week 2 run 3 today having done week 2 run 2 yesterday and yesterday was ok. I usually go to the gym about 4pm but it was 5.30pm today, I really struggled, was breathless and didn't enjoy it at all. I'd drunk about 2.5 litres of…

Has anyone tried the Insanity eating programme?
But without the exercise plan?! It's a bit expensive to get all the DVDs and way beyond my level of fitness at the moment but I'm thinking the 5 or 6 small meals of 300 calories a day will suit me well without causing sugar spikes or bouts of hunger pangs with regular small meals. Should possibly mention I'm insulin…

Hi...introducing me and looking for new friends!
I'm 36 and about 50 pounds to shift in total (I keep changing my mind on my target weight!) with type one diabetes and a physical job making beer. Love what I do but leaves me physically exhausted and I've had a tendency for the past year to have massive sugar binges through the day to keep me going. I've been registered…
