Increased Self Control
I think one of the things that got me in trouble before was a diminished amount of self control with food. I knew what food was the better choice for me, but I always ended up not choosing that and eating something worse for me. And that just added up over time -a little bit here and a little bit there - and bam! I'm 40lbs…

According to the official calculator, I'm now just overweight. With my muscle mass, I never thought it was totally right, but its still a good moral victory.

Thats what I'm thinking, since my BMR should decrease as I lose weight. Just wanted to make sure that I'm doing it right. Glad I started using this site, and I'm…

Heart Rate Monitors
Who uses them? I had a $20 watch that tracked heart rate and calories, but I don't think it was accurate. I picked up a Polar FT7 with chest strap, and it was a lot different than the tracker on the treadmill this afternoon.

Hey everyone
Hi folks. I'm a 30 year old guy who used to be in pretty good shape when I was in the Navy, but since leaving, I've gone up and down in weight. I'm not really comfortable at my current weight and really want to get back into much better shape. (Mostly, because I want to be able to keep up with my 3 young boys) I'm…
