Boots' UK instore scales
What a crock of crapola! I've measured my height and weight in different methods recently. My readings are; Height - 5"6.5 (no shoes, measured twice) Weight - 10st 12 (two sets of scales, one home and one hospital) Today I decided to pay 70p to get completely different results. Boots' scale had me at; Height - 5"6.8 (in…

Can you see any physical difference?
Okay, so I've been working on body recomp more than anything during the last year, and general fitness. Just got these two side by side, and it is just me or has little changed? (Other than my hair and things, obviously...) Thinking I may be a little too close to it (it being me etc) to see any change, so I'd like honest…

Experienced People Please Help
I'll try and make this as succinct as possible. I am: 26, female, 5'5.5", obese all through life, gone from almost 300lbs to 143lbs. Sedentary as far as work is concerned, agoraphobic and have major image issues. I aim for 120-200 minutes (each) of cardio and strength a week. Cardio tends to be a cross trainer, I average…

Why am I so freaking hungry?
Mmkay, so I'm 26, female, I typically do 2-3 hours elliptical, 2-3 hours strength a week. Other than that, I walk at least 3hrs a week at a moderate pace and that's about it other than housework. I'm at a 15% cut from moderate TDEE which gives me 1900 calories a day. But I'm still freaking hungry. I stay between macros of…

Opinions on activity level setting, please?
I know it's asked a lot, but here we go again. I am so sick of adding extra calories for workouts, especially for strength as it's all just a guessing game, and I know it's important to fuel up on strength days. Anyway, I don't work, but here's what I do per WEEK: Walk usually at LEAST 3 hours a week to someplace or other…

Activity Level confusion...
Yes, I know, you've seen a bajillion threads like this before. Thing is, I just don't know what to put for my activity level. Age: 26 Weight: 149 Height: 5"6 I don't work. I do fidget, and I like to walk/do chores at least an hour a day, most days. I aim for 30-50 min on the elliptical at an AHR of 180bpm 3 times a week. I…

HRM calorie calculation algorithms
Posted a similar topic but after today's workout I'm still confused. I put the following stats into MFP, my HRM and the Shapesense calories burned from heartrate thingy. Weight Height Age Sex Activity duration And the HRM obviously measures heartrate, which I plugged into the Shapesense thing also. So MFP gives me 608 - no…

HRM calories burned??
Got a new HRM, set up my age, sex, weight, height, blah blah. Just did a paltry 25 mins on the elliptical to test it out and it clocked me at 165 average bpm, and calories burned 124. Yet sites that allow you to calculate calorie burn from average HR, age, sex etc are saying double that on average... WTF? Who is right?

Hitting the fats part of my macro
Is it important? I've got mine set to 44g for 1600 cals a day, but quite often I don't hit more than 30. I know that SOME fat is important, I'm just wondering if not hitting that zero there will effect anything at all? Title should read: macroS. Plural. Stupid self.

Almost done - From 280lbs to 151 with pictures
At my heaviest I was 294lbs, and I was only 19 years old. Understandably I have very little photo documentation of myself; I hated myself enough without there being lasting imagery of me knocking about. Over the years I've been through a lot. I went from eating far too much from as early as two, and mostly junk, to eating…

Macro ratios?
So MFP set me to something like 50/15/35 (carbs, protein, fats) and I changed it to 55/20/25. I've been looking into differing opinions on macros, proteins in particular, and a lot of people are saying about a gram per pound of LBW, thing is I've seen that that level is for bodybuilders and weight-training. That's not me.…
