Serious motivation problems
I have been cutting carbs (less than 50 net a day, usually closer to 20) calories under 1500, logging over my actual intake just to get mft to register it some days. Running or walking with the dog every single day. And the freaking scale hasn’t moved in a month. My husband keeps telling me to go to a dr because I have…

Keto for weight loss and epilepsy
Has anyone else done keto at a limited calorie intake and still not lose weight even when controlling seizures? My seizures have almost completely gone away but I haven’t lost any weight even at a calorie deficit. I know this should count as a huge positive, and it does, huge, but I’m frustrated and seriously cranky about…

Baby steps
28 pounds down, pretty sure it was all in the face. Still a long way to go, but happy to see some progress. The one on the right is today, the two on the left are from October and December

Healthy eating for anemia???
My husband has severe anemia (had to have 2 pints transfused) and his body is having a hard time producing enough red blood cells, he is taking supplements, eating more meat, more leafy greens, etc, but he is still at roughly 1/4 of what he is supposed to be at. Any tips? Am I over-cooking the meat, like is it supposed to…

advice on running shoes?
I've been doing the 10k trainer (same company as c25k but for 10k instead) and I'm on week 6 day 3, but I've been having some foot/ankle pain. I know it's because I 'roll' my ankles as I run or walk but I'm wondering if anyone has some advice on what kind of shoes can help prevent this? We don't have a specialty running…

My NSV
I don't post a lot, but today is kind of a big deal for me. Today is 90 since I quit drinking. No more waking up with a hangover, no more wasting my days off doing nothing because I feel like crap. I have lost weight and found a new outlook on life. I started running, stopped hanging out with people that were just bringing…

NSV yay!
Ran/Walked my 2nd (that's right, 2nd!) 5k this weekend. Beat my last time by almost 10 mins and got my husband to do it with me. This was his first 5k and it was awesome! Now we both want to do the Color Run when it comes to the area in November. I also got a new pair of jeans that are 2 sizes smaller than my old ones,…

Happy NSV
I am so excited... last night I managed to fit into a pair of jeans I haven't been able to wear since well before my wedding, 5 years ago! That is so much better than even seeing a difference on the scale. I still have another pair of goal jeans, but they are still a long way from fitting, but not as far away as they were…

My first NSV!
I started the C25K last week and yesterday evening was the first time in 2 weeks that doing it didn't feel like a chore or a punishment, there was no whining, no pausing, and my dog didn't even try to kill me this time (she is easily distracted and will randomly pull really hard in a different direction). When I got home…

C25K success?
I have never run, never been athletic (I'm pretty sure swimming in the ocean doesn't count), but I want to try something new, and try to get some kind of sense of accomplishment by reaching a goal. So my question is, has anyone had any kind of success with the c25k? and if so, was it only the running, or did you notice a…

Best Idea I ever had... or the stupidest
I decided I needed to squeeze some time in for exercise and for some reason when I got back from the grocery store I decided to take my groceries in 1 bag at a time... I live on the 3rd floor. Seemed like a great idea until I was putting everything away and realized that my Skinny Cow ice cream bars were half melted :(
