What HRM would you recommend?
I think MFP estimates my calories too high and I think the machines at the gym estimate too low on calories burned. Plus if I do anything off a machine I don't know what calories burned are. So I think I need a heart rate monitor. What ones are best? Id prefer one without a chest strap.

I've tried the whole "eat back burned calories" thing. I've been working out 5days a week for 4 weeks with no results. Actually I've gained. So today I ate what I wanted. Logging weight training?
How do you log weight training? My trainer told me you burn more (and burn longer) calories when you add weigh training into yoir workout. But mfp doesn't count calories when you add in strength training. While I know calories are burned during cardio they are also burned by strength training. Why are these not counted?

GAIN weight when working out. LOSE when not.
I have an issue here. I started running 3 times a week. I did this for 4 days (so a week and a day). In that week I GAINED 8 pounds. EIGHT! And since then (a week) I have LOST 4 of the 8. I havent worked out this whole week. This isnt the first time Ive gained when I work out and lost when I dont work out. WTH?
