Turbo kick teachers/ fanatics
I've taken Piloxing and some other Les Mills boxing type classes and liked them. This week, I took a turbo kick class and liked it, too. I travel a bit and was considering getting a DVD set off ebay to use when I can't hit a gym. There may not be a good answer to this question, but I figured I would ask anyway. Are there…

anyone here with Rhematoid or oseto arthritis?
I've had a rough year. I had back surgery on l5 s1 for an extruding disc for which I was in pain almost 6 months. I know I have osteo in my back. I'm still not released from the doctor for that surgery, and I woke up this week with my 2 index fingers in pain and hard to bend. My right index is more painful than my left…

help to maintain exercise program while recuperating?
Hi all, I have been working out diligently since March with a trainer as well as spin, row, pilates, yoga, and piyo. I've toned up and I've lost all but 5 lbs of my goal. Three years ago, I tore my rotator cuff. I started to have some pain when I moved in a certain way when doing things at home. Oddly, I never felt pain…

beachbody online subscription?
Hi all, I've been attending they gym regularly with a trainer, but I was considering a membership to the online beachbody. I try to attend piyo classes twice a week, but I'd like to do it more often and we are also traveling for 3 months away from my gym. I thought the membership may be a consideration. Anyone use the…

piyo? - anyone starting it?
Hi I purchased a piyo DVD about 2 years ago, but never really started it. Now that I'm retired, I have time for me and I've started yoga, pilates, and took a piyo class. I always feel a step or two behind everyone in the class (they are all experienced) but I try my best. Decided to put the DVD in and do each move slo-mo.…

Exercises not on the list?
Hi all, Is there a way to add exercises not on the list such as kettlebell or additional strength training work-outs? Maybe I didn't see a full list--if so, where may that be? I've rejoined my gym and started with a new trainer as well as healthy back classes and pilates. I'd like to add them to my exercise. If I missed…

losing weight with husbands who love to cook and eat out
Well, the title sums it up. I married a man who loves to cook comfort food. Since I retired, I put on more weight because we're enjoying life a little more. I'm 61, 5'10 and 175. I use to work out all the time, but then the job started to consume my life. Now, I'm retired, exhausted, and have a spare tire. I ordered 2…

At age 55 this month, I'm going to try this again! I want to be swimsuit ready (or at least better) this summer. I'm 5'9 and…

If you have calories "left over" for a day...
I read somewhere that has to eat to lose weight so, if i have calories remaining, should I eat them up with low fat choices? Also what if my protein is over (-1) but I have a lot of calories remaining? This is all new to me!

hi
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new and I would like to lose about 30 lbs. Fortunately, my husband thinks I'm perfect. But the weight has been slowing creeping up on me--mostly this winter as there was way too much stress and way too little time for exercise (mom passed away and dad moved in). Two years ago I was at…
