Splitting up training sessions
Ok, I am 8 weeks out from the Marathon and I am getting into some serious long runs (15-19 miles) on my training plan. The past couple of long runs I have been getting bored after 2+ hours or so, and concentration and performance is dropping off, which leads to some very uncomfortable closing miles. Any suggestions for a hydration system?
I am getting into some longer runs where I have lost a half gallon of water weight in sweat. (I think my cold weather running clothes are wicking water out?) This brings me into the thought that I need to begin working on hydrating while I'm running as I go forward with my longer runs. I am considering a camelback system…
