Has anyone used the Nike fuel band?
I have just started using the Nike fuel band to measure cals etc during the day. Does anyone else have any experiences of using this? How accurate should it be for measuring cals & what is a Nike fuel unit?

Has anyone been minotoring their blood pressure?
Has anyone been monitoring their BP during a weight loss and excercise program? I would be interested to hear how this may have performed compared to starting point. I found my BP dropped quite quickly when i started excercise and to lose weight from a hypertension 150/100 to (now) 130/75.

Eating & acting like you've achieved you target weight
Has anyone succeeded in achieving their target weight by eating calories corresponding to that weight? For example, If you are say 200lbs and your target is 160 & you eat and act as you would to maintain your weight at 160 you will steadily lose using what is essentially your maintenace calories at your target weight. Gripping the treadmill
I see quite a lot of people in the gym holding onto the front of the treadmill with the incline cranked up high. Surely this defeats the object of increasing the angle if you are going to hold on like that? Does anyone do this? Does anyone listen to this podcast? It is really well put together and very infornative. There are several references to myfitnesspal. Interestingly they do not recommend eating back calories burned hrough excercise but take a different approach.

Does anyone know what 'starvation mode' means?
I have heard a lot talked about eating too few calories and your body going into 'starvation mode'. I'm interested what this means and what actually happens. For example if my BMR is say 1000 calories (this is the amount of calories that my body will burn performing basic body function, breathing heartbeat digestion etc)…

Does anyone have any comments on 'the biggest loser'?
I do not watch the biggest loser series every week, but when i do find it interesting. In particular the huge (weekly?) weight loses posted by contestants. I know that the show is quick to point out the medical supervision and 'don't do this at home' approach. The episides that i have watched do not go into detail on daily…
