I have just started using the Nike fuel band to measure cals etc during the day. Does anyone else have any experiences of using this? How accurate should it be for measuring cals & what is a Nike fuel unit?

I want one but they are expensive0

It seems similar to a pedometer / body bugg. As long as you don't log your walking to and from your car to the grocery store as calories burned or exercise, I see no harm in using it to determine TDEE.0

They're cool but their accuracy is horrible e.g. I've had mine on since 6:00 AM this morning and my calorie count is only 645 - I should be about double that. If you want something that's cool and may be used as a motivator, buy it. If you want something accurate, buy a good HRM watch.0

the nike fuel unit is supposed to represent the amount of energy you use. I am a big fan of Nike products and have others. I was so excited to when this came out. I have used it now for a few months. I called Nike to see if I needed to calibrate it somehow as it didn't reflect what my treadmill stated. Nike sent me a new one and it is the same. I use my fitbit and it matches quite closely to my treadmill. Needless to say I am a little disappointed in the fuelband but I will still use it. :-) Good luck0

I am using it but mostly as a motivator and not to measure my calories for MFP. I tried but I felt like some days it was giving me way too many calories and other days not enough. It also doesn't measure my steps accurately when pushing my stroller. I posted a few weeks ago about how to add in your Fuel Band calories, but like I said, I rarely use it.
I like it and I'd like to think my hubby buying it was the spark that got me going on my weight loss adventure. I'm currently on a 10 day streak for 4000k fuel a day. My best yet!0 -
Does anyone know if it's possible to sync my fuel band to myfitnesspal on my iPhone?
I've been using my fitbit and it does this effortlessly but so far I've not been able to find a way to sync the myfitnesspal app and my fuel band..0
