TDEE - 20%
So this website: http://thefitgirls.com/tdee-calculator.aspx says my tdee is 2970 ans my bmr is 1916. This seems really high, but my weight loss has been stalled for months and I am desperate for a solution. I eat 1500-1800 cals/day and I exercise 5 days a week alternate running and heavy lifting days and on weekends spend…

Surprised myself!
I usually use the Smith machine to do squats. My husband was with me at the gym so I asked him to spot me as I tried to use the squat rack for the first time. I did 135lbs no problem. Woot! Success!

I want to be back at the gym tomorrow morning. The only thing appetizing to me is fruit. If I only eat fruit today will I be able to lift and then run…

New Rules of WEight Lifting for Women
Just finished week 1 (started on Saturday) and everything hurts! Should I lift on Friday so I can get on track for my usual routine M-F? Or just wait until next Monday to get started? Also, I feel like I'm really working now where as before (cardio all the time) I wasn't feeling challenged or sore afterwards.

Stupid question of the day...
So I was thinking about the female lifting thread earlier and I was wondering- is there an instructional website that shows you how to use the gym equipment? I would like to learn how to lift but have no frame of reference for how to do so. I have no idea what the 'Smith machine' is. How do you determine starting weight?…
