DVD Reviews by Me
I thought I would share this. Over the last few years I've reviewed about 11 workout DVD's (and tried way more) and I just added all the reviews in one place on my blog. I plan to start reviewing more again, maybe once or twice a month, and figured I'd share the link my reviews here. Keep in my, I am a plain, obese,…

Help With Food Please
I've been dealing with some nasty stomach aches due to too much Advil to deal with the nasty headache issues. Anyway, I'm supposed to eat bland food for the next few weeks. What constitutes bland? Any good recipes out there that fir with WW and bland? Yup, I will be googling this lol.

Has Anyone Done "The 30 day diabetes cure"?
I'm not currently diabetic but I have very high cholesterol, high blood pressure, need to lose at least 85 pounds, have bad reflux, rapid heart rate and so on. My Mom is a Type-2 diabetic due to obesity and since starting this program she is off all insulin and now has low cholesterol and is steadily losing weight. She's…

Kind of a Stupid Question
But where do you even begin with eating clean? We don't drink soda at all and try not to buy anything with HFCs but organic food isn't affordable for this household. We have 2 adults and 3 boy, two of whom are teens and eat all the time an done who's heading that way. I'm not even sure when to begin. Do we start with one…

Exercise logging
I was finally able to start doing some basic toning (nasty back issues). I'm currently using Denise Austin's and 10-minute solution 10-minute segment dvd's, 10 for abs, 10 for upper body and 10 for lower body. Eventually I'll be able to move up to harder free weights but for now this has to do. Anyway, how do I log these.…

5"3 and under people
are you finding that you need less calories to lose the weight? Closer to the 1200-1300's than higher? Also, does MFP recommend a lower calorie amount than you expected?

Okay
after experimenting with calories and points and doing really well with the calories (or so I thought) I once again lost nothing. I need to just go back to WW and stick with it because this isn't working for me. I was going over my calories by more than 6 a day, as I posted in another thread, and I guess that's just too…

TDEE, BMR, Fitbit...once again
Okay, I'm almsot done sorting out this line of questioning and I thank anyone in advance for their help because I'm still having problems understanding this but let's see if I finally have it right. I also have this general question in the fitbit forum. From previous answers my total fitbit calorie spent number is thought…

Another Question
Still tacking in both WW and MFP for now and what I've found for the last several days when I really paid attention is that I am going over my points every day but still have calories left over on MFP. I'm supposed to have 31 daily points on WW and 1200 + exercise here on MFP. Yesterday my total was 1360 calories (with…

Working Out With Bad Back
My back has gone through some crud in the last few years. I originally hurt it at the gym while doing free weights at least 3 years ago if not 4 and since then (with additional damage through a fender bender, falling on ice and it just going out on me) I went through 3 stints of physical therapy, one in a therapy pool, a…

Figuring out how activity level
The last time I posted about this my average burn according to my fitbit was 2300 calories. Now I'm trying to figure out my activity level. I don't think I am sedentary anymore but I'm trying to make sure. This 2300 includes my workouts. Without the workouts my average burn would be more like 1800-2000. So am I still…

Ugh
I'm still torn between doing WW or counting calories and I really don't want to keep both. I don't understand what my problem is. Every time I do WW I lose weight until I undermined myself. I've been doing MFP for 60 days and I've lost and gained and lost and regained the same 3 or 4 pounds. Why can't I just do WW and be…

So...kind of long but educational (for me anyway lol)
This week I was counting everything in MFP and then transferred to WW today (the start of my new week). I started "fresh" on Tuesday and have done pretty well for the last 4 days (including today). So today I went through and transferred everything to WW to see where I stand. First thing I noticed is that I am fitting in…

Activity level?
When I first joined my activity level was sedentary and I was getting in maybe 3500 steps a day. I've now worked up to about 8800 to 9800 steps a day so would my activity level now be lightly active or moderately active? My fitbit also says that i burn about 2300 calories a day but I'm not sure how to figure out the…

TDEE and all that stuff questions
So I've been tracking all my info with my fitbit for a couple of weeks now, plus tracking all my food here (and somewhat tracking with WW but one of those will have to go soon because I'm starting to get annoyed with extra tracking). Anyway, my average daily burn according to the fitbit is 2,276 calories a day. My average…

Hi...new in here
Hi, I really like WW and the points system but I really love the message boards here more than the WW ones so I'm sort of combining whatever extra knowledge I can find. I'm also using a fitbit which doesn't exactly work with WW (that I can find) and trying to get my steps up with every week.

Portion Control
I realize this is a calorie counting site but has anyone here tried to just do portion control and not counting anything and, if so, how did it go?

Help Me Choose Dinner Tonight?
I'm going out tonight for dh's birthday (with some friends) to a non-chain restaurant that doesn't have any nutritional info. Please help me choose dinner! Here's a link to their menu. I'm thinking about the seafood but not really sure. http://www.blackrocksteakhouse.com/p/dinner-menu.html

BMR and TDEE?
Okay, so the BMR calculator on here says my BMR is 1,597. The Fitbit says I burn, on an average, 2,217 calories a day (I assume that includes my workout calories). So would the 2,217 calories be my approximate TDEE? Thanks!
