Aaaaaand I'm Back
Hey guys, I'm going back to WW but I will keep posting here and weighing in as well. Just wanted to let you know! I'm just so sick of the 2-3 pounds up and down game. Time for something different!

hey guys
A lot of you have friended me in the last few weeks/months? so I wanted to let you know that I'm just doing MFP and not counting points right now. I'd like to remain friends with all of you but I understand if you some of you may want to just stick with WW people. Just wanted to let you know! Aleks

Decision
Okay, I'm done double tracking. I'm becoming totally obsessed with macros and I need to just stop for a while. I'm going to do just WW and see what happens. I'm going to keep checking in here for the message boards and friends but I need to go back to something I know has worked for me in the past. Plus I like having the…

I'm back
Hi all. I needed a change from calories so I'm back to points. My weight loss hasn't been great, a lot of up 2 pounds, down 3 pounds, up 3 pounds, down 1 pound and so on. I sat down and went over the stuff and my most successive attempts at weight loss have been with WW (excluding the heartbreak/depression "diet") so I'm…

So...
what made you all decide to do WW instead of just MFP. I've gone back and forth for a while (years actually) and am currently counting both. I prefer WW but I'm not sure why, maybe because it feels more like a game instead of a "diet," but just wondering why the rest of you are choosing this. And i really, really want to…

I think i finally learned my lesson
So i decided to give just MFP a try. The first week i lost 3 pounds. The second week. Gained back 2 pounds. When i went through and entered info into WW i was over by points every day but under by calories? So that' it, i'm back to countng points. It's the only thngs that seems to actually work for me. Sorry about spelling…

lower body fitness help please
I have back and hip issues; several protruding discs in my back, a hip that goes out of place often, left leg/hip/back/butt in a lot of pain when it gets thrown out and months and months of PT and chiro every time I throw it out. For the last year it was actually behaving so I decided to do the squat challenge. And I ended…

Hello out there...
Anyone still around? I've been going back and forth between WW and calories and gaining weight in the meantime. Anyone else struggling? Anyone succeeding? Anyone doing anything? lol

thoughts
I keep going back and forth between ww and mfp. I don't want to keep doing both forever but at the same time I can't seem to choose just one. I'm thinking for now I'll keep going with what I've been doing but will probably transition from ww to mfp at some point in time to save money. Or not. I don't know lol.

squat/crunch/push-up challenge question
Hi all, I'm on day 2 of this challenge and today I spread out the exercises throughout the day which made them easier to do. Do they burn any calories because when I enter them as strength training exercises in the tracker no calories burned show up. Do I just write them down and assume I'm not really burning much? Does…

fruit servings
How many servings of fruit are in a 16 oz navel orange? I'm assuming it's more than one since the orange is so big.

Why Weight Watchers
I was wondering what brought everyone to WW rather than calories? For me, I find it more fun and easier to count points rather than calories. It's almost like a game and I also like how protein and fiber are used in the points calculation. I also find that exercise points are easier to figure out and I like the extra…

Plain and easy baked chicken tenders recipe?
I'm trying to find a basic, easy recipe for baked chicken tenders, maybe with some olive oil and seasoning and I keep finding recipes that have mayo, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, tons of butter, etc. Does anyone have any basic recipe (with nutrition info) that is good? I just want something simple but yummy.

AleksD3's Diary
Hi, I am doing the PointsPlus plan. I am not tracking my food here at MFP, I do that at the WW site but I do read the message boards here and I post here and use this site to keep an eye on my macros like sodium. My official starting weight (and weight for this week) is 221 lbs. This week I get 32 points a day and 49…

Polar Heart Rate Monitor?
Please tell me about yours. I got so fed up with the fitbit (plus it didn't register heart rate) that I returned it today and am looking for something that will give me a much more accurate calorie count.

Anyone still posting
I have been going between WW and MFP for weeks now and instead of succeeding anywhere I just gained more weight because I didn't try. I love a lot of things about MFP but I really hate counting calories and like counting points. MY WW membership has 3.5 weeks left so I'm going to give it all I have and if I don't see good…

Calorie Confusion - Please Help
Okay, so in the last few days I've read all the "1200 calories vs. whatever" threads and I'm confused on something. A lot of people are posting that MFP gives your 1200 calories if you don't have a lot to lose and you put down that you're sedentary and want to lose 2 pounds a week. I want to lose 2 pounds a week and I am…

Non WW Point Apps
So I've come across two really good (or seem good) apps that do everything WW does without the hefty price tag. One is Pts. Plus Diary http://www.pointsplusdiary.com and the other is The Ultimate Value Diary (I think I like the 2nd one better) http://www.ultimatevaluediary.com Have any of you tried them? Are they as good…

exercise calories?
How do you figure out exercise calories for toning/strength training with dumbells? I have a fitbit but that doesn't help me with the weights.

WW vs. MFP
of counting and comparing MFP to WW here's what I've come up with... I am constantly under 1200 calories when I do WW even though I hit my 31 daily points. Looking at my macros on MFP I'm doing well with sodium and protein, sort of okay with carbs (I'm not over my MFP limit but I don't know if it's considered too high…

ugh, stupid scale
I had to get a new scale (got a good one this time so this doesn't happen again) which I weighed in on this morning and I'm over 5 pounds heavier than my old scale. I even weighed a bag of flour to make sure this one was right. So I'm starting my weekly count over again on Wednesday. In the meantime I'm going to keep…

weigh in days
I've gone back and forth for a while now on weigh-in days and decided to finally move them to Wednesdays. When I have them on Fridays I see it as an open invitation to pig out on the weekends. I tried not to but I just don't have that willpower right now and I'm ready to face that I did gain 2 pounds this week but next…

Machines at the Gym
I've read pros and cons about weight machines at the gym. I have a not so great back and can't afford a personal trainer right now to help me with free weights. Are there any good weight machines out there? I used to use them way back when I had my old gym membership and am thinking of starting up again but I'm not sure if…

exercise question: dvds vs. "written" workouts
So I have an exercise question. I own a lot of workout dvds, strength training, pilates, yoga, WATP, etc. I've been reading about lifting free weights at home (plus remembering what I used to do at the gym ages ago) and I'm not sure which way to go. The dvds, while informational, don't give you time to do all the reps…

Weekly & Exercise Points
Eat them or not? What does everyone here do?
-
It really, really bugs me
when people answer questions about WW on the main board with things that are wrong. Like..."WW lets you eat as many fruits and vegetables serving as you want and they're all point free." "WW teaches you NOTHING about nutrition." "You will ALWAYS have to count points because you'll learn nothing about healthy eating." And…

Just Discovered Something Very Important
All this time I thought I had lost weight on the old WW points program. I reread my old blog this morning and I was wrong. The highest amount I lost before falling off the wagon was 15 pounds and it was done on the PointsPlus program, NOT the old points one. Since I know if works for my body I am going to do it again and…
