BMR question
Is it true you should be eating as many calories as your BMR is. I eat 1200 cals per day, but my BMR is 1,400. Should I up my calories? I have a very difficult time losing weight, would maybe uping them a bit help? I'm just nervous that if I eat more I won't lose weight, maybe even gain..? Thanks in advance, Tara

Polar heart rate monitor question...
Is it true that if your heartrate is too high & out of "your zone" are you burning muscle instead of fat? My heart rate is naturally really high and when I work out it goes anywhere from 140-200... is this okay for burning fat?

Help?!?! BMR?
I'm a newbie. Am I supposed to eat the same amount of calories as my BMR? My BMR is 1.415, but my daily goal for calorie consumption is 1,200. Also, what is my net supposed to be? I'm sorry if this sounds silly, but I'm trying to get the hang of this. Thanks in advance! -Tara

Are you supposed to eat what your BMR is?
My BMR is 1,415. I have my calorie consumption set to 1200 to lose 2lbs per week; am I supposed to eat what my BMR is or the 1,200 that I have set? Thanks -Tara:smile:

Should I eat my lost calories from exercise?
I'm new to MFP, and I thought losing more calories than I consume will lead to weight loss. If I eat all the calories I burn at the gym aren't I defeating the purpose? I understand I will be in better shape, but will I still lose weight? (Sorry I'm a newbie.) -Tara (Add me as a friend if youd like! I need some motivators…

Just started MFP :)
Hi everyone, I started MFP about a week ago, I have been doing Weight Watchers for about 2 years, and have lost about 20 Lbs, but ever since they changed their program I haven't been able to lose; only maintain. I think this may be a good change for me. I am trying to focus on just my calorie consumption but I seem to go…
