Tough Mudder
Has anyone participated in one of these? I'm 55, and I'm wondering if I should try to get a team together to do this. It looks really tough, but amazing! http://toughmudder.com/ Thoughts?

Looking for inspiration?
Read this young man's story. The way he wrote it, and how he did it is just so inspirational. Cool Running posted this on Facebook so hopefully you'll be able to follow the link, but I really like the way this guy lays it all out for you, how he did it and what it took. So I thought I'd share.…

Wahoooo!!!!
I started a get fit lifestyle in 2008 after seeing pictures of myself with my son and not liking how I looked. Since then I have lost 40lbs (37 after joining MFP) which I know does not seem like a lot, especially after 2 years, however, today, I had my body fat percentage measured and it is at 18.8% and I'm am just…

Very interesting article about weight loss
I recently joined the Cool Running group on Facebook, which posts lots of great articles for all athletes (not just runners) and weight loss. I thought this one reiterated many of the tenets of this website. http://bit.ly/dzZigE

Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution
I was wondering if anyone else watched the sneak preview of this "reality" show last night, and what their thoughts on it were. Did you enjoy it? Did you learn anything from it? Were you offended or not? I realize that it was filmed and cut for drama, but I did find it interesting. I wonder if he'll be able to accomplish…

Goat's milk yogurt?
Was reading On Fitness magazine, and they recommended goat's milk yogurt as part of a healthy diet. I was wondering if anyone knew of any brands that are available in the U.S.? And if anyone has an opinion on whether or not it's superior to regular Greek yogurt? Currently, I love Trader Joe's Greek yogurt, but am willing…

How often can one work the core and abs?
My trainer has been giving me reps to do on the captain's chair. I do these twice a week, when I work out with him, but I've read that you can and should work the ab muscles everyday. So, should I try to do the captain's chair on my own when I do my cardio workouts? Basically, was just wondering if the abs need to rest…

Exercise goals
In the MFP tracker for exercise, it has my daily goal for cardio exercise time as 60 minutes per day up to 300 minutes per week (or 5 days) and the calorie burn goal is 350 per day and 1750 per week. While I rarely spend the full 300 minutes per week on cardio, I almost always go way over the 1750 calories burned per week…

Eating before workout
I work out with a trainer twice a week (half hour) and then go to the gym another 4 days a week (most of the time). I prefer to go in the mornings before work, and I really don't want to eat anything before I do my work out because I get nauseous if I do...I have water when I get up in the morning first thing, but not…

Hi, I'm cardigirl and new to this site
I just joined due to the recommendations from some good friends. I have been working with a trainer since last August (2008) and have shed almost 20lbs, plus gained a whole lot of muscle. I'm hoping to lose another 20lbs this year, which would bring me to 140. Currently I'm working out 5 to 6 days a week, and find that the…
