Exercise goals

In the MFP tracker for exercise, it has my daily goal for cardio exercise time as 60 minutes per day up to 300 minutes per week (or 5 days) and the calorie burn goal is 350 per day and 1750 per week. While I rarely spend the full 300 minutes per week on cardio, I almost always go way over the 1750 calories burned per week goal.
Are my settings off, or should I be looking more at the calorie goal and less at the total time spent?
Honestly, it is very hard for me to get more that 45 minutes on the AMT and the stair climber in on any given day. I just don't have that kind of time.
Wish I did though. Would love to spend 2 hours at the gym each workout.
