Alternatives to Sweetened Coffee Creamer
I need to have my coffee with cream, and I need it to be a little sweet. That combo currently comes in the form of International Delight Coffee Creamers that deliver both in a neat package. Sweeteners (Splenda etc.) generally don't do it for me, but the 140 calorie hit that I take each morning purely in the creamer seems…

Beer and calories - it's not easy...
....but a little planning (like with all other foods), can go a long way. http://www.dingsbeerblog.com/2012/03/20/beer-calories-fitness-and-being-45-years-old-another-problem-with-the-american-abv-situation/

Rachel Ray's Tomato, Chicken/Spinach/Feta Philo cups
Any ideas how many calories per serving/serving size etc.? Tried MFP, web, her site, food network site.

1 month in, some success, now what? (Recalculation question)
March 15th - April 12th (28 days) SW: 250.6, GW: 220.6 At MFP's suggestion I ate 1760 max each day with three weeks of OK exercise, 1 week not so good. I Lost 19.1 pounds. Today I recalculated a few things - SW(new): 231.5, GW(still): 220.6 1. MFP now says 1640 via its 're-calculation option'. 2. Fat 2 Fit says BMR = 2104;…

BMI numbers skewed too low?
I originally said that I wanted to drop 30 pounds. Interestingly though, I would have to lose another 40 pounds after THAT, to get to a BMI considered 'normal'. Now, there is no way on earth that I want to be 70 pounds lighter than when I started - I think that with my frame I would look emaciated. These BMI figures look…

Is this REALLY possible??
I started MFP 17 days ago and have come in under my calories each day and reached my exercise goals. I knew my starting weight (measured on one scale) and weighed myself on a different, but brand new scale this morning. According to it, I'm down over 15 lbs. I simply do not think that is possible, and am assuming that the…

New Bathroom Scales
I've been on MFP for 17 days. I've managed to come in under my calorie goal for 17 consecutive days. Have not weighed myself since starting up so I went and bought some new scales today. Tomorrow morning I'm gonna jump on! I'd be happy with 3 pounds, delighted with 4 and over the moon with more. I'd be disappointed with 2…

Success Story? Not really, but positive things.
OK, been here for 7 days - yes, only 7 days, but there are DEFINITELY a few positive things happening already. I have absolutely no doubt this will get harder, but for now here's the good news; 1. Hit the calorie goal of 1760 for seven straight days. This was without any excessive exercise, and simply thinking about what I…

BIG beer guy here
Just joined MFP on Thursday and all is going really well (so far)! I am a huge beer fan (have been for 30+ years) and beer is an integral part of who I am. You can read more at www.dingsbeerblog.com. I don't drink low calorie beer, but have always been athletic and a guy who exercised quite a bit through sport, so the beer…

Treadmill MFP Calorie calculation discrepencies?
I have a treadmill which reports that 50 minutes of walking at 4.0 MPH for a 250 lb man burns 675 calories. MFP says the same data generates a calorie loss of 472 calories! I know there will be subtle differences when considering different sources and different guidelines, but this seems extreme. Any idea what the truth is?

3 days here, so far so good
Three days on MFP and under my (net) calorie goal each day. So far, so good, but I am POSITIVE this will get more difficult. Quick question; How often should I weigh myself?
