What activity level would you call this?
I just started a circuit training class twice a week on Tues and Thurs. I did some measurements and body fat calibrations and they told me I should be looking at between low active and active as far as my TDEE (they rank it as sedentary, low active, active, very active). I'm not sure that's right though. Classes are 45…

Would you call this lightly or moderately active?
I'm going to go with the TDEE - 20% thing I've been reading about and see how that works out but I'm struggling to decide if I'm lightly or moderately active. Stats are below....what do you think? 5'4, 32, 242 pounds, female. Desk job (so not a lot of walking/activity at work). Planned workout schedule is as follows - on…

Are the calories spent correct on the exercise calc?
I entered in Zumba from yesterday and it gave me 806 calories burned. I'm 32, 5'5 and 242 pounds. 806 calories sounds like a lot, and I don't have the money for a heart rate monitor right now. Is the calculator on here correct or at least close? Am I looking at being like, hundreds of calories off if I go by that every day?

I set the weight loss to one pound a week, so I'm not asking for something extreme. But isn't it bad for me to eat less than my body would need if I was sleeping all day? I'm a little…

Diet with no exercise
So I've attempted the whole weight loss thing a lot in the past, and I tend to go straight in, proverbial guns blazing. Which is great, for about a month, at which case I get burned out and go eat three Big Macs. So now I'm trying to ease my way into it. I started eating healthier today - tracking my calories, going to cut…

Dear scale - piss off
So I've been eating better for two weeks. Started Zumba this week. Counted calories. All that good stuff. I got on the scale today and am 2 pounds heavier. Now, LOGICALLY I know there's no way that I ate 7,000 calories over what it takes just to maintain my weight this last week. I know that. But EMOTIONALLY, I want to…
