Really scared, upping my cals...7 weeks before my wedding
I have been on MFP for almost 4 months now. I have lost 45 lbs. I am about 18 lbs or so from my final goal (which is flexible), and only 5-10 from my goal that I'd hoped to be at by the wedding. I'm currently down to a size 8 in jeans. (Well, depending on vanity sizing, 6, 8 or 10...you know the drill). Full disclosure, I…

MFP and my friends here kept me accountable today :)
So 96 days ago (the day before I joined MFP) I gave myself a 100 day personal challenge...eat better, healthier, and do some form of exercise (barring any major injury/ailment). I have been doing really well, and have made a lot of wonderful friends here. The only time I missed my workouts so far was when I got sick and…

Workout hiatus didn't wreck me!
I'm another bridal bootcamper, trying to make sure I'm in shape for my wedding, but more importantly, healthy for life. I had to take a 10 day hiatus from my workouts, which really upset and worried me...I know this is a life change but I do have a wedding dress coming in soon and have goals I'm trying to reach (and have…

HELP! Anyone take Levaquin? tendon rupture???
My doc just put me on Levaquin yesterday--she said I can't work out for 10 days because Levaquin can cause tendons to rupture. Now a friend of mine said it could last even 3 weeks after that--is that RIGHT? She said I can't take another antibiotic because it's the best for my throat infection and also I am allergic to…

NSV in fitting room plus scale victory!
Today I was down 35 lbs since MFP. 90 lbs since my high weight (which I don't reflect on my ticker, pre MFP). Anyway, I was feeling pretty bad--I'm having trouble "seeing" that I'm smaller now, and have the common issue of feeling like a whale even though I know I have lost weight. I'm 44 and all those years of obesity…

Countdowns!

Made it out my plateau!
So glad...usually that will throw me off but this time I toughed it out. Was stuck at 22 lbs down for a couple weeks. Started getting frustrated so I tried several things at once to push myself out of it. Now I am not sure what worked...if it is just nature taking its course, if it is the calorie spike I forced over the…

Resting pulse and metabolism
I'm sure it's been posted but this was an interesting read: http://www.livestrong.com/article/363352-relationship-between-pulse-rate-metabolism/ My resting pulse is 58. Guess I'm not as out of shape as I thought, although BMI still insists I'm obese :(

Huge NSV for me!!!
HUGE NSV for me today...got back in my size 10 Levis! I haven't been able to get them past my knees for over 2 years. I had originally lost over 90 lbs and was about 25 from my ultimate goal, but then was in "happy, complacent, lazy baking/cooking relationship mode" and gained back 35.5 lbs. It always made me feel so…

Great reminder why you should drink your water!
Some have asked about the first bottle--I think it's bottled water and the bag just looks like it has sugar in it due to a reflection.
