Today I was down 35 lbs since MFP. 90 lbs since my high weight (which I don't reflect on my ticker, pre MFP).

Anyway, I was feeling pretty bad--I'm having trouble "seeing" that I'm smaller now, and have the common issue of feeling like a whale even though I know I have lost weight. I'm 44 and all those years of obesity take a toll on your psyche, I suppose. I fit in size 8 pants last weekend and I STILL feel like Orca.

I have dinner plans tomorrow with my fiance, dad, stepmom so I decided I need a new outfit, nothing fits right. I went into the fitting room and on a whim tried on a dress--I'm not a dress girl. I loved it! Couldn't believe it! So I tried another, and another...I ended up buying three of them. My bust (38DD right now but I've been as big as 44DDD) usually never fits in less than an 18. I fit in a size 8! I didn't buy that one because I didn't like the neckline, but I ended up buying two 12's and a 10, which are loose on my hips but the bust fits...I just can't believe it.

I haven't enjoyed dress/clothes shopping or looked good in a dress since I was 19 years old, before I had my kids at the age of 20 and 21! I'm still in shock, and almost cried in the fitting room

I have about 25 lbs to go til goal, but I have no idea if that's feasible--I just chose a number that I weighed in college pre-babies. I think even if I lose only another 15 lbs, or even less, I can be ok with myself. Which is huge for me.

Brilliant. Good luck with getting to the size which makes you smile at yourself in the mirror. I managed this week to zip up jeans which I havent been able to wear for 8 years, Yahoo. Lets look forward to lots more of those moments. Xx
