Workout hiatus didn't wreck me!

I'm another bridal bootcamper, trying to make sure I'm in shape for my wedding, but more importantly, healthy for life.

I had to take a 10 day hiatus from my workouts, which really upset and worried me...I know this is a life change but I do have a wedding dress coming in soon and have goals I'm trying to reach (and have been reaching them right on schedule!).

I was on a great track and had worked out for 65 days in a row and felt great, was making excellent progress. Then I got a sinus/ear infection and had to go on Levaquin, a side effect of that antibiotic is the remote possibility of "tendon rupture" so my doc said I couldn't work out while taking it for 10 days.

Today was my first day back working out, and over the 10 days I was very careful to stay on track, and lost another 3 lbs! Unfortunately I had dental surgery today so I can't work out for 72 hours because of the stitches but I'm confident that I can control myself diet-wise now. I also feel like it may have been a blessing in disguise, showed me that I don't have to be crazy about workouts, and my body had a chance to "catch up" a little to the weight loss.

I am going to probably cut my workouts down a little now, I was doing 15 mins strength, 45 mins cardio and 15 mins pilates 7 days a week. I'm going to try 15 strength, 30 cardio and 15 pilates 5 days a week or so and see how it goes because I am now about 20 lbs or so from goal. Down 93 all together, 38 since joining MFP in Mid-March.

I love this site, you guys have absolutely been a great help to me and kept me on track and there is a wealth of information here--I feel very healthy and have learned a lot about eating clean and fueling by body. Thanks, MFP'ers!
