Symptoms of eating too little? doing P90X
I posted this in Nutrition but I think it might be more applicable to here. So I'm experiencing low energy and low libido (sorry if TMI). None of this was a problem prior to starting P90X the beginning of April. The nutrition guide has me eating 2400 calories a day. I think that sounds like way too much for me. I've been…

Symptoms of eating too little?
So I'm experiencing low energy and low libido (sorry if TMI). None of this was a problem prior to starting P90X the beginning of April. The nutrition guide has me eating 2400 calories a day. I think that sounds like way too much for me. I've been eating around 1500 but now I've noticed the lack of energy (wanting a nap in…

site for what weight lifting to do?
I'm going to start lifting weights again but really want a plan this time so I can see real results. I still have about 35 lbs to lose and currently am running about 10 miles or so per week. The weights would be in addition to the running. We have a basic weight bench set in our garage. So I don't have all the fancy stuff…

5k question, what do you do with your keys?
this may seem silly, but my first 5k my hubby & kids were there so I left everything with him. 2nd one I drove myself and my stepdaughter (15) so I was stuck holding onto my keys the whole race. I tried my pockets, sports bra, neither was successful so I ended up running holding them in my hand, not comfortable. So please…

Do you run the day before a race?
I am running in a 5k tomorrow, only my 3rd. I've been running 3 miles 6-7 days a week. I'm curious if you would take today off or still run like I normally do?

Exercise vs your activity setting?
Nevermind, I found an answer.

Yummy Spinach
I'm not sure if I saw this on here or on Pinterest but I made it tonight for the first time and let me say it was sooooo good!!! http://bikerchickzrecipes.blogspot.com/2008/01/spinach-maria-in-pictures.html I put mine in a 9 x 13 pan but it was pretty thin to cover it. I cut it in 8 sections and each section was 136…

Back under 200 again!!
I know its a small victory but it feels good. I was under 200 by a tiny bit in Fall of last year, took some time off from running and eating right, gained 6 lbs back over the holidays. Started back committed February and have lost those 6 lbs again!! Still hoping to lose another 35 at least, but feel good to have the scale…

Food Scale
We just bought a $20 food scale from walmart and it has really made me aware of portions even more. Someone had posted a link the other day with a video about how we overestimate when we "measure". I'm glad that now when I take the time to measure my food I'm doing it right!!!

Pineapple upside down muffins 76 calories
I found this blog post and recipe on Pinterest http://www.bigmamashomekitchen.com/2010/10/mini-pineapple-upside-down-cakes.html I don't have the same kind of muffin pan as her but I used my regular muffin pan. I also used angel food cake instead of her cake recipe. I put a quarter of a pineapple ring in the bottom of each…

running vs P90X
I'm currently running 6 days a week 3 or 4 miles per day. While I am losing weight I would also like to tone up. My window of time each day to exercise is naptime. I don't want to give up running. Would I benefit from alternating days between the two or would I not get the benefits of P90X with skipping days?

Runners, rest days?
I'm currently running 3 miles a day. Most weeks I take the weekend off, but sometimes only Sunday. My body is not sore and shows no signs of needing to let up. Just wondering if I "have to" take more rest days?

Is the sugar goal on here low?
Just curious if the default setting for the sugar is low? All of my days I'm in line with all my categories except sugar. I have sugar in my coffee that is the only plain sugar and aside from fruits I don't eat things high in sugar. I do know I need to cut back on the sugar, I've already cut it in half. And I don't want to…

How to improve 5k time?
So I have 2 races under my belt, but don't seem to be improving my time at all. I only beat my 1st race by seconds in the 2nd one. Even my 2 mile runs I can't seem to shave any real time off of. I'm down to 2 miles in 19:30. My 5k time is still 34 mins. I'm wondering what I can do during training to help me shave some time…
