Reason for craving sweet foods?
I have just read this in an article online, and wondered if there was any factual basis to it? "Artificial sweeteners, such as aspartame and Splenda, have no caloric value, but this doesn't mean that they don't help make you fat. Studies have shown that artificial sweeteners actually make the body crave sweets even more!…

Arthritis, fibro and starting an abs workout...
I have downloaded an app with some very basic abdominal and buttock exercises that I want to start doing, slowly at first, but hopefully getting stronger. My question is: can I do these exercises on my bed instead of the floor? With my mobility problems and arthritic knees etc. there is no way that I could get down onto…

MFP, TDEE, Fitbit and sedentary lifestyle...
I have a theory on why my weight loss is always in ounces rather than pounds. MFP has my TDEE at around 1750 cals, which is the number my Fitbit works with and synchs to. I know that the MFP definition of sedentary includes being sat in an office etc. but I don't think it really caters for those of us who are less mobile.…

My problem is, that I need a docking/synching station both at home, and at work. I founded and run a charity and can…

I dont really like crisps, and chocolate is an every now and agin thing, but I was eating high calorie foods at odd times so never lost weight through the condition, unless hospitalised.…

Can't exercise...need to shift 20lbs+
Hey all, I am 41, 5'4", 179.2lbs and disabled... Arthritis, ME, fibromyalgia and other crappy auto immune issues pretty much prevent me from doing anything physical, and the weight really hurts my knees and joints, so desperately need to shift it. Has anyone got any ideas? Water therapy is ok, that is when I can get there,…
