Recommendations for an interval training app?
Does anyone recommend a good interval training app for Android (running, primarily)? I use RunDouble and they do have an interval setting that allows for time or distance. I like it ok, although it only allows 2 alternating intervals and they have to be for the same time. For example 1/2 mile run, 1/2 mile walk, 3 repeats.…

Lifting and cardio/endurance
I've been enjoying SL 5x5, but am also gearing up for triathlon training (I've been doing triathlons several years, but the heavy lifting is new. I'm feeling like I need to back off/stop heavy lifting for endurance training, though, because my muscles are too sore from lifting to accommodate a long run or bike. Anyone else…

Hit 50 pound goal and contemplating next steps--Advice?
I hit my goal of losing 50 pounds and I'm feeling pretty awesome. I still have some tummy so I figure about another 12 pounds, give or take, depending on how I look and feel. I've been doing Stronglifts 5x5 and I do sprint triathlons, so swim, bike, run, and yoga. I think I'll have to back off the lifting some as tri…

Combining strength and endurance training

I’m a happy-to-be JV triathlete, so I’ve been doing a combo of swim, bike, run, and yoga and I enjoy all of these things. I am seeing muscles emerge under the fat, but I’ve been reading about strength…

Weight Loss Is Not Linear
I was playing around with this and thought it was worth sharing. This shows a total of 30 pound weight loss--about 20 pounds down from July 2012 to April 2013, and then I "took a break" and went back up 10 pounds. I started again first of this year and have lost another 20, so 30 from high to (current) low. I don't write…

First post-baby tri--would love to get a cheer!
I have a 2 1/2 year old girl and a year old boy and sometimes it seems that *they* are what I do in my "free time"! But I'm proud of myself because I've signed up for an Olympic length tri in early August and a few sprints throughout the summer. My first one is this Saturday. I've learned to sneak in workouts at lunch, or…

Feeling frustrated--any suggestions?
I am 5’7” 193lbs. I am set to lose one pound per week, which has been working out to be about 3lbs per month for the last 4 months (1490 calories). I exercise 45mins or so about 4 days a week and I eat my exercise calories. I am a mother of two very young children and am not realistically able to add more workouts at this…
