Advice about not losing weight...
Ok, so I've been exercising 6-7 days a week minimum of 30 min for the last month, eating 1,000-1200 calories-watching my sugar and carbs. Scale isn't moving. I had a fill in my lapband at the end of Dec. I've been at the same weight for a year now. I've tried going dairy free, gluten free and pretty much anything I can…

Pizza and the other bad things that we love
So I'm sure all of us have things we like to eat, that are not the healthiest options for us, so how do you work those things into your diet without going overboard? I know balance is key, but sometimes even when I plan for those higher calorie indulges, once I'm there, I tend to eat more of it than I should. Should I give…

Pedometer app vs. Fitness tracker
Do any of you use a walking app? I have runtastic pedometer on my phone, but was wondering if I should get a fitness tracker such as fitbit or misfit shine. Are there more benefits to those devices vs. just using the pedometer app? Anyone have experience with either of these and fine one more useful than the other?

Fitbit or Heart rate monitor or both?
I've been looking into Fitbit for getting a look at the activity and calories burned every day, but now that I am getting in the habit of exercising regularly, I wonder if I'm exercising at the right heart rate for fat loss. It would be nice to find something like the fitbit, but that also was a heart rate monitor as well,…

Thinking about it after the fact...
What tips or tricks do you use to make yourself stay conscientious of what you are eating in the moment? I've been finding myself lately, doing this thing of not thinking before I eat something. Then afterwords I'm asking myself why did I eat all of that, or why did I eat that at all...

Organic or low calorie
I've become very conscientious of the ingredients in our food, so I read labels a lot. One thing I have noticed is that many organic items have more fat and/or calories in them. Bread for instance. The "real" bread with whole wheat unbleached flour and other natural ingredients is more dense and has more calories. Whether…

Anyone have the fitbit flex? If so, how are you liking it. I'm debating on getting one, but I've been looking at the misfit shine as well, but it hasn't come out yet. Anyone have any opinions on these devices?

What is your go to Activity Tracker
I know many people use the Polar HRM. Has anyone used the basis 1? I had tried the fitbit one, but did not like that I would clip somewhere and then it would be forgotten. I would like a watch or bracelet style gadget. I've been eye balling the fitbit flex, but do not know when or if it will ever come out. If anyone has…

New Year, New me!!!
I will say that it has been hard the last week or so getting back in the groove of things. My diet and exercise regimen isn't quite on point yet. I am in the process now of getting approved for the lapband procedure. I anticipate it won’t actually all come together until late spring sometime, but I’m not just going to do…

Fitbit one verses Nike Fuelband
I've narrowed it down to either the fitbit one or the Nike Fuelband. I'm looking for people who have used either one or both for your opinion. I've read some reviews online, but not very many on the fitbit one since it just came out. How do you feel about the accuracy, motivation it provides, and the overall use of it?…

Fitbit zip, Fitbit ultra, or Nike Fuel band
Has anyone used any of these tools? I'm looking into purchasing one, but wanted to get some insight from others that have used them. I did read some reviews online but really didn't find anything concrete that lead me to believe one was the better option. Thanks

30 Day Shred
I was looking through youtube, and came across Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. All 3 parts of the videos are on youtube. I started yesterday with day 1. It was challenging and really got the heart rate up. I'm going to do this as a way to get in the habit of working out regularly. It's been hit or miss here lately. I…
