Successful the last time but now I'm back
Hi all, I joined MFP in August 2012 with 75 lb to lose. I gathered a really supportive group of MFP friends, bought a shiny bicycle and dropped from 245lb to 165lb over the next 8 months. Lost 80lbs, gained 60lbs....starting again
Hi, I had a great success with MFP early in 2012/13 and lost 80lb by last spring. I was a 30" waist and 38 chest and felt great. However, for reasons I won't go into, things went wrong and I regained 60lbs. I'm now back on MFP with a resolve to make up the lost ground. Just thought I'd put a shout out to others who are in…

Would like to support a few more dedicated friends.
Hi, I have been using this program for a few months and an delighted with the results so far. I'm almost 2/3 of the way to my goal but I know that this last stretch will be the toughest. Of course this isn’t the only reason we lose weight but whether we want to be taken more seriously at work, be looked on as more of a…

Experience with XBOX 360 kinect
Hi, Has anyone used the Xbox360 Kinect system for fitness? If so, what was your experiencea and does it give results? I guess I'm asking specifically about the workout games like "Your Shape" (rather than the generally active games that do burn calories but aren't solely for that purpose). Can you actually work up a proper…

Legs want to run but mind won't allow it
I had an over protective mother. She didn’t like me climbing or running around in case I fell over. Looking back, one of the best ways she had to keep me still and safe was to tell me that I was no good at sporty things and better suited to books and academic pursuits. This carried with me all the way through life – even…

100lb to go. Support would be much appreciated
Hi, I'm a 38 year old father from Glasgow in Scotland and have tried to shift the weight many times before. I usually start brilliantly for a few weeks, then slowly lose my willpower and end up blowing it all and thinking "what is the point?"! I really need to do it this time as I want to be there to run around with my…
