October 28 2024 - not sure I can really internalize that the year is already in it's 4th quarter! My scale doesn't move very much anymore. I suspect that is to be expected at my age. I should clarify that it doesn't move downward very much anymore. It can move upward if I even think about fatty foods or high carb foods. Sound familiar? This is the way I have thought about weight loss for the past, I don't know how many, years. It's not moving in the right direction. It's not moving fast enough. I'm doing something wrong. I'm in a yo-you emotional state of happy to lose 1/2 a pound and then unhappy I gained it back. But If I stick with the facts; the scientific evidence, I can honestly say that as of today I have lost 50 lbs, my mobility is much better and I my health is improving. Those are all good things to think about. Since I'm a retired senior I feel my time spent worrying about what I eat should be finished by now. Give it up and enjoy my life. That's harder than it seems.
