Exercising, Hunger, and Self-Worth
I have been mad exercising of late. Yesterday I biked 8 miles and did 1 hr of step aerobics and zumba (combined class). Today I biked 14 miles and am going to Zumba. I have been eating a lot to accommodate this exercise because when I am hungry and don't have immediate food, I will binge. I've already ate 1200 (healthy)…

GUYS! I AM SO CONFUSED! 80% TDEE or eat my exercise cals?
Numbers: BMR: Around 1600 TDEE: Lightly active=2250 Moderately active=2540 Harris-Benedict is about 100 cal less than my TDEE estimates. I've been doing cardio 4-5x/wk (I bike outside 10mi/day 3-4 days/wk and do zumba 2x/wk), I lift weights 2-3x/wk. About 5-6 hrs a week total. I set MFP to lose 1lb/wk and it spit out the…

Ate 90% crazy healthy foods. I went to the gym yesterday evening and weighed myself and I gained 1 lb. Granted, I was bloated.…

I've biked 52 mi this week (with a heavy bag) already and lifted 3 times. I am fricken tired. I am going to…

Overeducated Foodie Types Want to Befriend Me?
Hey all, I am graduate student with an obnoxious obsession with grammar, punctuation, and whole foods that taste good. I have some friends on here who are great, but I would love some peers, too. I am looking to lose weight, but more than anything, I want to be healthy long-term. I refuse to deprive myself of real food,…

Eating Quality Food as Opposed to "Low Cal" Food
I really don't mean to judge and mean this with no ill-will toward anyone who may eat this way (which of course means I am about to say something sort of offensive...sorry): When I look at people's food logs, it always makes me so frustrated and/or sad because it seems that the only way to keep calorie counts down is to…
