Polyunsaturated and Monounsaturated Fat
Both of these have a goal set of zero a day on MFP. I sometimes have 1 or 2 grams in this category. When I researched this, the American Heart Association (heart.org) states that they can have a beneficial effect when consumed in moderation and when used to replace saturated fats or trans fats. Anyone have any insight on…

42lbs down and a lot more to go
30 of those pounds were lost in just one month. Clean eating and exercising 6 days a week. I have a long way to go, but I'm excited to see progress.

Short Term & Long Term Goals
I literally have to lose half of myself! I started off in the 300+club. I've since lost 15lbs and have no intentions on ever finding it again. My long term goal is to 150 pounds (maybe less if needed). It's frustrating to think that I have to lose 150+ pounds. So I try to set smaller goals to keep me motivated. My first…

Setting A Caloric Deficit
I currently use the MFP suggestion for my daily caloric intake. Just wondering if anyone is familiar with how to set a caloric deficit for fat loss? I know that in order to lose 1 pound of fat, you've got to burn 3500 calories more than you take in. But as I've been reading, it seems that several other factors are part of…

Losing 55lbs by June 22nd
I have an overall goal for weighing 160lbs, maybe less. But I'm looking at in smaller goals. So my half way point for this year is to drop 55lbs. I'm pretty good with doing proper exercise, but I tend to need more help in the nutrition area. Any suggestions from people who've lost weight and kept it off?

Do you have any health problems associated with your weight?
I have Obstructive Sleep Apnea. I'm aware it's directly related to my weight. The Dr. told me when I lose the weight, I lose the diagnosis. I have to sleep with a C-PAP and I'm extremely bothered by that. Quitting is not an option for me. I'm ready to shred the pounds and get healthy. Add me if you'd like :)

Help.Question about posts
When replying to a post, should I use the "quote" button or the "reply" button? I've seen both. But when replying I'd like the comment to be under the person I'm replying to.

25 and Motivated
Looking for some motivated friends to connect with :) I've lost weight before and I've learned that accountability really helps. Add me as a friend and we can join the journey together. Just starting out, I had my first weigh in yesterday. Quitting is not an option for me.

Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired
I signed up for My Fitness Pal awhile back. I stuck with it for about 3 months and saw results. Changes came and I slacked off. Ready to get this weight off for good. I didn't know about this aspect of MFP. I'd love to connect with people who are determined to succeed.
