Logging steps?
So I've got a pedometer app on my phone that can link to MFP, and automatically log steps/calories. I've set myself as Lightly Active, but isn't that taking into account my general moving about? So should I actually log those steps, or should I do what I've been doing up until now, and just log longer periods of walking,…

2 small NSVs
So yesterday I had 2 NSVs that I know are quite small in the grand scheme of things, but felt huge at the time. 1) At the gym, I do Stronglifts 5x5, and today used the "big boy" plates - the 20kg/45lb ones - for the first time on my deadlift. Dad trying to sort himself out
I posted most of this in a different thread, but it seemed more relevant here, so here goes: I'm 33, married with 2 small boys, and live in the UK. Like a lot of people, when I was 18, I looked pretty good; reasonably slim, with some muscle definition (most notably my abs). I'd spent my pre-teen years overweight, and it…

Not enough salt?
So I was looking at my diary last night, and I saw that both my sodium & potassium levels are way below my goal amounts (20% of what they should be for the week). I used to add a lot of salt to my meals, but over the course of my 20s I cut back a lot, to the point where I rarely add salt to anything (fries and pizza are…
