Wrong Calorie Goal
For the last several days, MFP has posted the wrong calorie goal on my summary and food diary. I am in maintenance, but the calorie goal points to a 500 cal deficit. Why is this and why is it not being fixed?

Endomondo GPS Issues
Hi all, I have been using Endomondo for more than a year. I love it. I'm on my way around the world (.009%) and to the moon (.001%). I don't even know how many hamburgers I've burned off. Lately, though, there's been a problem with the distances Endo is recording for me. Last Saturday, I walked what should have been a…

Teachers Talk - An NSV
My two children are fifth graders at a small school in the Chicago suburbs. The school is at the heart of a close-knit community, and we feel lucky to have stumbled upon it when we moved here from Atlanta several years ago. One of the big projects in fifth grade is a "wax museum" where they dress up as historical…

A Quandary
My Dear Fitness Pals, With luck, I will be facing a difficult quandary by the end of January: I will weigh less than my darling wife. Since I have 10 inches on her, it's quite a difference. My wife has been my biggest cheerleader and a true inspiration. She makes sure there are healthy choices for meals and snacks and…

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
That's what the song says! But for me, there are lots of challenges around FOOD at this time of the year: Parties with friends, company parties, feasts on the holidays. And Mom is coming to visit for Thanksgiving (you know that's going to be good), and then we are visiting my in laws in New Orleans for Christmas (gumbo,…

I Lost my Daughter (And Other Victories)
Last night, my 10-year-old daughter fell asleep in front of the TV. I had to pick her up and carry her to bed. Even though she's a tiny little thing, she's heavy when she's asleep. At her last doctors visit, she weighed 62 pounds. I have been on this expedition now for 8 long months--since Thanksgiving weekend in fact. I…

Silly Doctor
So my doc has been following me for gout and high blood pressure. Today was the second check in since I started on MFP about six months ago. He storms into the room where I was waiting and, while looking at the chart, says, "She (the Medical Assistant in his office) got your weight wrong." He looks up and sees me for the…

Endomondo & Fitbit & MFP
Hey all, Does anyone do Endomondo and Fitbit and MFP together? How do you link them up to make sure everything gets counted once and only once? Do you use one more frequently or as a "central" tracker? What is your general experience of the three working together? Thanks for any input, Paul

Overeat when working at home
I don't know what it is, but when I work from home (1-2 days per week), I have a real problem staying out of the fridge. Whenever I need to stretch my legs, or get finished with a task, it seems like I get up and go see what there is to eat. Some days, I just go to the library so there's no temptation, but many days,…

Walking to the Moon!
Hi All, I am new to this site and just getting started. And boy do I have a long way to go! I am a 49 year old married father of two youngsters. We live outside Chicago. I work at a desk 9 - 10 hours a day and commute another 2 or 3 hours a day. (I do work from home a couple fo days each week.) I plan to use MFP and…
