ROCKTAPE, has anyone tried it?
I'm thinking it might be helpful for the wee bit of Plantar fasciitis I still have: http://rocktape.com/

Horseback riders/runner who have had back surgery? I need y
I hurt my back in 2006, I've done PT for it since then, and finally, after 5 years they did an MRI ...and then actually used it at a conference because they couldn't believe I was able to run a block, let alone a marathon. I still have a two week wait until I can get into the Spine Center (Mayo Clinic), but the less…

self defense/personal protection while you run
I think women esp could benefit from hearing what others use/do. I'm a worrier/over-packer, so I'm always prepared. What do you do??? :glasses:

Cho-Pat Shin Splint Compression Brace?
I'm training for my first marathon, and while doing local races I've noticed a TON of people wearing these! Have seen them??? I wonder if they really work??? (FYI, I don't really have this problem, but I just think they're a neat idea and wondered if anyone had tried them)…

Runner's trots... embarrassing but hopefully helpful to some
Well, this explains a lot....here I was thinking I was going to need another emergency intestinal surgery considering the way I was during and after my 20 miler today! Anyone else have this embarrassing problem? Mine hit the "severe" level today after my run :( http://runningtimes.com/Article.aspx?ArticleID=12326

WTH is Rejuvenesse???
I'm posting this because a buddy of mine is trying this Rejuvenesse diet because even though he works out a ton, his weightloss has been paused for a while...it sounds like a bad idea to me, but I thought I'd see what you all thought, or if you've even heard of it? He said his Dad did it and lost 50lb.s in a month, gained…

Hi! I'm training for my first marathon, and now I'm getting into some 10+ mile runs. I want to get a CamelBak, a model that goes on your back, not around your waist...so what's the best one out there for runners specifically??? :flowerforyou:

HRM eating me alive...
:blushing: Soooo...the skin around where my Polar HRM strap lays is getting eaten alive. I have open sores from it. It's not the sensors themselves, (yes I wet them down with running water) it's something about the strap material itself...anyway, I plan to keep using it M-F for inside training (marathon), but I'm looking…

Do antihistamines make/keep you fat?
I first heard about this when my brother was in his early 20's. He was close to 300lb.s and went to our local health center (Mayo Clinic) for his physical. He knew he'd be told that he needed to lose weight, he'd always been told this...anyway, while going through his med lists, his Dr noted that he took benadryl almost…

Hello! I'm training for my first marathon, and it's time to upgrade to a new HRM with GPS. My Mio Motivia is dying a slow ANNOYING death anyway... I'd appreciate any info on a HRM with GPS that someone may be selling privately, or the model number of a good one I could buy. Please tell me the best place to buy it also.…

How to deal with the "one-upper"?
Just a random question (OK, not so random, it's been bugging me for almost 24 hours) do you guys have anyone in your life who constantly have to "one-up" you? It doesn't matter what it is, but mostly it's jewelry size, or body size, this one particular person always has to brag about always having or doing something…

Being fat is too much work, and I've got stuff to do!
Hi all, I joined about a week ago, and thought it was time I introduced myself! I was a high school, and college athlete in my earlier days, and now I'm alomst 30. Last year, with a lot of early mornings at the gym, I lost 43lb.s for my wedding in August (and gained 18lb.s back post-wedding). Lastly, I'm attempting to…
