Alternative to rows?
Hi ladies, I am coming up on my 6 month 5x5 anniversary and I need some advice. I really, really, hate Pendlay rows. Almost enough to find another program, which I don't want to do, since I love all the other lifts. Can anyone recommend another lift that works about the same muscles? One of my goals is to get to 10…

Are you a pusher or a puller?
My lifting partner and I were talking a few days ago about how differently we are progressing on Stronglifts. We think that this is because I am a pusher, and she is a puller. OHP: Did I really just do that?
I started SL last Monday (after not lifting weights in 20 years) and I am loving it (on workout #4 today)! No surprise, by far the most difficult for me is the OHP. I was able to do 5x5 with the empty bar last Wednesday (my first "B") but those last 2 reps were the hardest things I have ever done, ever. I thought there was…

Help with flexibility
At a recent health fair at work, I tested my hamstrings for flexibility and was unpleasantly surprised to learn that I am below the 1st percentile for my age. I have always been tight and have done poorly on these tests all the way through college, and then I decided to ignore the problem for 15 years (bad idea). As I am…
