Besides yourself and a mirror, who gave you a wake-up call?
I know for some people just looking in the mirror is enough to give you a kick in the rear to get in shape. But did it take someone else telling you that you were unhealthy? Like a family member, doctor, friend, etc? I remember looking at myself one day and thinking what happened to me...

NSV - running into ex in-laws
This past weekend I was at a Shriner's party (not sure if anyone knows what a Shriner is). Anywho, I saw my ex-husband's cousin and went up to her and asked if she remembered me. We have been divorced for 3 years. She shook her head and read my name tag (I took my maiden name back) So I told her who I was married to. Her…

I ran my first 5k!
When I started my weight loss journey in Feb. 2011 I was 255lbs and could not run if my life depended on it. I started slow. I would walk for 15 mins then 30, 45, etc. About a year later I started to add running. I could only go about a minute but we all start somewhere. I was down to 220 and once I started more running…

Running Success!!
I already shared with my friends list but I just feel like shouting this. I started running April 2013 and at the time I could make it about 1.5 mins before I had to stop from huffing and puffing. Last night I set out for my run, I normally can make it about 26 mins before I get wore out. That is about 2 miles for me. Well…

How sore is too sore?
I have a trainer. Last Tuesday we went to the gym and worked legs. I was a little sore the next couple of days but nothing too serious. Then on Thursday we worked arms. A little soreness of Friday but it went away. On Saturday we did a boot camp workout for about 45 mins. I can hardly move. My boyfriend has to help me off…

Omg! I didn't lose any weight last week
But I lost half an inch!! And I am ok with that. I see so many posts where people get upset because they ate right and didn't lose. The scale is not always the best way to see your weight loss. Buy a soft tape measure and take measurements.

Bootcamp exercises
Hey everyone! I have searched the internet for bootcamp exercises to do outside with no equipment. Most sights take me to a page that won't load or never tell me what exercises to do. Any advice such as what exercise for how long?

What will you give yourself after you reach your goal
When everyone reaches their goal weight, what do you plan on treating yourself with? For me, when I lose the last 31 lbs I want to get a tattoo on the side of my stomach.

Fruit
I am confused... I just ate an apple and it contained half of the sugars I am allowed for the day. I thought fruit was good for you. Any input? I have heard that fruit contains a "natural" sugar. I am not sure what that mean compared to other sugars.

Hard time improving distance
I started running a few months ago. When I started I could barely run for 2 mins without panting and hurting. I have improved and can run for 20 mins, about 1.7 miles. However, I can not get better. I have been stuck on that distance for a month now. I try to go 25 mins and I just can't. Please offer advice on how you…

When craving soda, what do you reach for besides water?
I hate to say this, but I am addicted to soda. I have cut down to 1 a day and just went 4 days without one. But I craved it and it would drive me nuts. I do not drink diet sodas, yuck! How does everyone replace soda, I know everyone will say water. I drink about 10 glasses of water a day but it still does not give me that…

After about 8 months I weighed 165 lbs. Well I am up to 185 now and I can't seem to get my willpower back. I started the GNC lean…
