Opinions, please...
I’m transitioning into Maintenance, from weight loss. I’m fine with the idea of counting calories/logging food for the rest of my life. But weighing food… Nope. So my idea is to have a 50-100 calorie a day deficit almost every day (not worrying about it Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July, Memorial Day, New Year's Eve,…

Make up day???
Over the weekend I went over on my calorie count... Oops. Since I'm 4'11" and very sendentary my calories are at 1200 a day. I know all the advice about how it isn't safe to go under 1200 a day. But what about having a make up day today where I only have 1085 calories just to make up for eating too many calories over the…

And so many posts here on MFP say that 1200 is too low for anyone…

No wonder it's taken a month to lose 1 pound!!! My question is: since my BMR is so low, can I go under that stupid 1200 rule??? How did 1200 become the…

I'm thinking of getting a FitBit, and would love to hear opinions on the matter. Is FitBit really that helpful? Is it worth the money? I'm afraid that if I get one I'll use it as an excuse to eat back more calories that I should, since I'm guessing at least of the calories that I think FitBit counts (like walking around…

Idea for visual weight loss aid
My friend had a great idea that I'm trying out, and thought I post in case it interests others. Have a glass container with pretty glass beads/polished rocks/buttons/whatever. Say you want to lose 35 lbs. You put in 35 items. Each time you lose a pound you get to take an item out of the container. That way you can watch…

How often to weigh in???
Hi, How often would you suggest weighing in? I'm pretty sure once a day is too often, or no? I've heard once a week, but is that really good advice? Thanks!
