How long did it take you to lose 30 pounds or more?
So I know that this weight loss is going to take a while. So far I've lost 8 pounds in the 8 or 9 weeks I've been doing this, so I'm on track. I just need a little inspiration or validation sometimes. I see so many people on here who have lost 30+ pounds but never says how long it took them. I guess I kind of need that to…

NROLFW: Is this a correct protein calculation?
So I'm reading the New Rules of Lifting for Women since it has been talked about so much on here and I figure I need something different since the scale is stuck. ( I'm trying to get back in the habit of eating better and logging accurately) I'm figuring out the protein amounts I should have if I start doing this. Based on…

So frustrated! Plateau?
So I'm reposting this from my diary feed because I'm upset and I need validation or help or something (probably doesn't help that I'm starting to get tired from being up at 4:30a.m. to go run...) " I'm so frustrated!!! How is it that I walk 40 minutes a day five days a week plus getting back to running 3x a week, stay…

Want opinions on activity level, please
Now that i've been at this and lost about 11 pounds I've pretty much doubled my walking that I've been doing. 5 days a week I walk 20 minutes uphill to work and 20 minutes downhill to work (compared to the 10 minutes each way it used to be). And 3 days a week I've got the couch to 5k running plan going. The rest of the…

5'11" chick and wanting to lose 40 pounds
Hi! I'm a tall 28 yr old woman looking for friends to motivate me. I'm such an introvert so the idea of adding people scares me to death but I've decided I'm going to make myself do it since I need the encouragement sometimes. I've been on here for just under 2 months and have lost 8 pounds. I'm pretty happy with that…

Am I not eating enough or am I just tired?
I guess my brain is just not functioning lately, so I need somebody else's insight or experience. Ok, so my office has moved and I'm now walking pretty much double what I was. So now I'm walking 20 minutes (uphill) to work and 20 minutes (downhill) from work. I've got my activity level set to lightly active so assuming I…

This activity level business is confusing me...
All because I've been reading forums. I've set my activity level to sedentary and would eat back exercise calories. I walk to and from work at a decent pace 20 minutes round trip 5 days a week. Am I supposed to log that every day or say that is a light activity level and not log it? The last time I tried tracking calories…

If I average at least 6,000 steps a day...
Is that considered sendentary? Because that's what I've got mine set to and about 50% of the time I feel hungry and having a hard time staying in my calorie goal for losing 1 pound a week. Granted, I've only been doing this a couple of weeks so I'm still learning. Oh, and that 6,000 steps does not include my runs/walks.…
