The title says it all: would you go to an obese nutritionist for weight-loss help? This question came up in a group discussion -- there was disagreement. I said I'd post here and get some more opinions from the MFP board.

Is the gluten-free fad/trend/diet/lifestyle pittering out?
What do you think? I bake and cook at a large church on the weekends and we are having fewer and fewer requests for gluten-free items. We had lots of requests about a year back, but not so much now.

Good grief. De-thatching the lawn must burn a lot of calories. I am dying and I'm only 1/3 of the way through the lawn!!!! So if you're looking to burn some football snack calories, get out there at de-thatch at half-time!

I've been working out with Jillian 6 days a week since June. After 4 days of the Body Revolution workouts 5 and 6, I am the sorest I have been since starting. Yikes! Feels good, though. :) That's all.

T25 with low impact? Is this possible?
I am recovering from a stress fracture in my foot. I am not supposed to run at all, or walk more than needed for daily activities. I've been doing Jillian Michaels interval workouts -- just adapted a bit to leave out the jogging/high knees/butt kicks/jumping lunges. How adaptable is T25 for someone who can't have pounding?…

:huh: Can anyone actually do this entire workout properly? If you can, did you work up to it or were you able to do it right away? I can NOT do the scissor jumps. Nope. Why would weight loss be slower near one's ideal weight?
I occasionally see someone saying, "when you're near your goal/ideal weight, weight loss will be very slow." Why would that be? Given that a calorie deficit is what one needs to lose weight, why would it matter whether one weighed 198 or 138? AmI missing something here?

Last night I had a salad with lettuce, cucumber, bell pepper, snap peas, and 1T of oil/vinegar dressing. How would you have counted that? Measure/weigh all the veggies? Use a general green salad number?

Can anyone help me out here? I'm new to MFP, and not sure how to determine calories burnt by a workout like 30 Day Shred. (I did a search, found lots of 30DS threads, but no calorie info.) I'm doing Level 3 now, and it's an amazing workout. I love it! But, how do I log that on MFP?

Just a few pounds to lose, but getting nowhere
