Indoor cardio machines in a gym with strangers. Ugh.

I learned the number of calories in foods I love! `Pasta and rice were the biggest shockers...peanut butter, too...

Your mom must be very thankful for a daughter like you.

Crossfit workout -- in the end I did 40 burpees, 40 thrusters with 25# on the bar, and 40 bent rows in 11 minutes.

Pancakes and bacon. Yum!

I do not wear a mask when exercising outdoors. I just keep my distance from others. That's what I suggest.

Any pop performer dancing on a stage wearing minimal clothing is going to attract commentary on their body. I'd say it's par for the course in the world of that type of entertainment. If Lizzo (or any other performer) doesn't want attention paid to her body, she could wear different clothing and find a new choreographer.…

I think they do belong in an interview with a celebrity fitness trainer though...

Don't even sit down when you get home. Just change in to workout clothes and get going. You might consider changing in to the workout clothes while still at school. Then you'll really be set to go!

Why can't we have a rational conversation about who is to bear the costs of obesity, society or the obese person, without people who make a case that it be the obese person being attacked for "shaming"?[/quote] Well, we live in the era of outrage, where a different/challenging perspective, opinion, or philosophy is seen by…

But people judge/appraise/assess one another all the time, every day, everywhere. I'm sure if you saw me, you would judge me based on my hair, clothing, age, weight, the car I drive, my race, my visible fitness level, the way I walk, the way I speak, the language I speak, my jewelry, who I am with, how I treat others, etc…

I certainly don't question anyone's worth as a person, and my post didn't suggest that I did. You suggested that.

If people think overweight or obesity is beautiful, that's their taste, and I wouldn't argue with them. What I really dislike, though, is the idea that I MUST agree that it's beautiful or else I'm a Horrible Hater.

I'm 50. Three years since I had a period. I'm almost done with hot flashes, and I feel better than I have in years! I rarely have a headache anymore, no more mood swings, no monthly weight fluctuation! I exercise more now than I ever have, and I really enjoy it. So am I feeling thankful to be healthy, getting stronger, and…

I had been biking daily (12 miles roundtrip) and going to crossfit 4x week. Apparently, that was too much, which is so disappointing because I loved my routine and was gaining so much strength and stamina. You're right about working with my PT and being patient for the long term benefit. I guess I was just hoping for some…

Did you keep lifting?
-
Thank you. This is encouraging. I'll be going back to my PT in about a week, and I imagine he'll change up the exercises again. I have gotten much better at them -- and they were hard at first! I probably just need to be patient about returning to the gym. I'm really missing it, though. It had become an important part of…

Did you get results from your PT? I've never done PT before, so I don't know what to expect in terms of progress.

The exercises include glutes, and hips (these were really hard at first!), but not much quads. I was bike commuting until this started, so my quads were/are relatively strong. I'm tempted to just go back to biking and crossfit and see how it goes. I'm good at stopping if something causes pain, and the pain is occasional .…

Crossfit it the very most fun I've ever had working out. I love it! I was a complete newbie at 50, and am now hooked. Let us know how it goes!

Super fast and filling -- half an avocado on toast. Add sliced tomatoes and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Yummy and keeps me satisfied until lunch time.
-
Sounds good, especially if you enjoy cooking.
-
Yes to the salty crunchy snacks! They are my ultimate temptation. I should try pickles.

I think if it was more predictable I'd be less likely to overeat -- knowing what the results would be and when I would see them.
