Advice needed: weight loss with meds
Currently I'm overweight, I'm trying to lose around 55-60 pounds. I'm taking Sertaline 200mg which hasn't affected my ability to lose weight but I've been prescribed Abilify 20mg to take along side my Sertraline. I've been reading online that Abilify can commonly cause weight gain, this is something I really don't want as…

A little confused with the calorie tracker
Right, so I try to eat 1 meal a day with white potatoes. I prepare them by: Slicing them into 3-4mm thick slices, boiling to part cook them, then I put them in my air fryer for 15 minutes to leave them crisp a little. I usually weigh 200g of potato slices before I start boiling them. On my food tracker I've always added…

2 week into MFP, looking for friends to share meal plan ideas.
I'm slowly getting used to the idea of having small frequent meals opposed to my usual 1 giant meal day. I think I'm doing pretty well but I'd love to see other people's plans/exercise routines too. Add me if you'd like to share!

Starting Insanity, little unsure on the food plan
So I've read through the insanity food plan, apparently I need to be eating around 4.5k calories per day while doing insanity. This seems a little crazy to me because I don't eat this much usually and now I'm trying to lose weight I'll be close to doubling my calorie intake. My stats: Male 26 years old 6ft 3inch 240lbs…

Stir fry and curry sauces
Hi fellow MFP members I made a post today about packet sauces in the food section and I was adviced to ask in this section if I was interested in making my own sauces. So I'd love it if all you seasoned cooks could help out a newbie. I'm looking for sauces for stir fries and curries, I like a variety of flavours so all…

Hurt my calf - Insanity
I'm on my 2nd week of Insanity and I've really surprised myself how well I've stuck with it, I've been enjoying my workouts and I can already see some progress. Yesterday I did something to my right calf muscle and I had to cut the exercise short, today it still hurts when I jog lightly on the spot. The pain isn't intense…

Could someone recommend a post workout bar/shake?
Hello fellow MFP members, I've been doing insanity and eating healthier since Monday, while trying to get in a habit of cooking healthy for myself I haven't been eating enough calories. I thought one way I could help with this would be a post workout bar/shake of some kind. I would try cooking something but I have 2 young…

Concerned I may not be eating enough
Well I'm quite a paranoid person so when I try anything new I usually worry about it at some point or other. I'm just wondering if my calories/carbs etc are too low for me? I know my first day [monday] was pretty low but I've tried to increase my eating since then. I'm also doing insanity along side my diet.

Sauces from a packet/jar?
Today will be my 4th day of eating healthy and watching my calories. So far I've been under my calorie/salt/fat/carb goal each day but I'm not a great cook and my food knowledge isn't the best. The first day I ate such bland food that I actually felt as though I felt as though I wanted to be sick. The last two days I've…

Advice from Insanity users
I finished my fitness test an hour ago, but the exercise 7 that's like a push-up I couldn't do. I'm terrible at push up as it is, but after the first 6 exercises and this being a harder version of a push up I couldn't do them with good form. In future if I encounter this problem should I do an easier version of the…

Snacks, what to eat?
Hi I'm new to eating healthy and checking content of food I eat. I've always eaten whatever I want when I want without worrying about my weight but the past year I have been putting weight on so it's time for a change. What snacks can I eat that are low in sugar and salt? I don't like nuts and I'd prefer not to eat protein…
