I have read various posts. Some say try not to break fast as long as you can hold off so your body uses fat reserves. Others say, you need to eat in order to start your metabolism for the day. Which is the better route?

am I mad? 10k on sunday
So I may have a chance to run in a 10k run this coming Sunday. Am I mad for considering it? I have been exercising 6 days a week for the last 2 months doing between 40-80 mins on the elliptical as well as 30ds for the last month. Should I enter the run? Or am I risking injury from not training specifically for it?

I was wondering if 30 mins of exercise a day (30 day shred) as a minimum was enough to help build strength, muscle tone and assist calorie controlled weight loss? It doesn't feel like enough to me...or am I just being overly enthusiastic?
