Going Crazy!
Hey guys! This is not my first time around the block with getting healthy / losing weight and it's not even my first try on MFP. I've had an account many years now. Before I ask my question, I think a little health background is necessary! I have history with anorexia/bulimia. I lost 50 lbs in 1 year because of it (from…

Anyone with a Fitbit!
Hi everyone!! I just recently bought a fit bit, and I was wondering if anyone had any preferences as to whether I should connect it to MFP or not. I find that MFP has much more accurate food logging, but I prefer to log my exercise on fitbit, as it seems more accurate to me that MFP in that regard. Anyone have any…

Counting Calories in Fruits and Veggies?
Hey everyone! I’ve been eating 1200 cal/day with plenty of protein. I talked to my doctor and confirmed that this is an OK amount of calories for me. I know there is a lot of controversy on that topic. My main question is for those of you who strictly count calories, do you worry so much about the calories in fruits and…

My Morning Meal
Hi all! So I always eat breakfast—and I mean always. I never skip it for a few reasons. First, because its my favorite meal of the day. Secondly because if I don’t eat, I’m starving come lunch time and I just eat whatever I can get my hands on. And thirdly, because I don’t drink much coffee or many caffeinated beverages,…

GLUTEN FREE AND DIARY FREE
Hey guys, I've been having horrible stomach problems for about a month now. After seeing a doctor, it has become clear that I have celiac (a gluten allergy) and lactose intolerance. These are the WORST, considering my favorite foods pretty much all contain one or the other. On top of this, I am slightly allergic to soy. I…

Stair Climbing!
Hi everyone, So I am a college student full time and I also work a full time job and 2 part-time internships, so needless to say, i have very little time. I leave by 7am to get to work and I get back from class at 11-12 most nights, so I can't find anytime to work out. The only gym near me opens at 6:30am, but since I have…

Anyone else training for a 5K / 10K?
I'd love some friends that are training for a 5K or 10K. I've found it really helpful for me to have tangible goals other than a number on a scale. Right now (sadly) I'm at 45 minutes for a 5K. I'm planning on running one in September and I'd love to get this down to 30!! What are your goals? Add me as a friend to motivate…

Weightloss and Alcohol
So I know that alcohol is bad for weightloss because your body is too busy repairing itself to focus on weight loss. I do not have the willpower nor do I want to stop drinking. I don't drink very often/much. Usually 2-3 drinks every other weekend. Will this sabotage me I'm the long run?

The Carbs/Sugar in Fruit
So I have a question about fruit. I generally eat 1-2 pieces of whole grain bread a day and about 4 pieces of fruit and my carbs are through the roof! Do you count those carbs in the same manner as you count carbs from bread or potatos or rice or something? It bums me out cause I'm never within my carb goal due to fruit

Bagels: my downfall
Hey everyone. So, I'm generally pretty good with eating balanced meals with protein and good fat and the vitamins and minerals I need. My whole life though, I've been told the one food I love more than ANY OTHER FOOD is one of the worst for me. The bagel. Is it bad if I eat a bagel a few times a week, but keep up my…
