Advice Needed: Logging miles walked?
Hello MFP People! I am starting a new job this week and will constantly be on my feet and moving. I'm concerned because I have no clue on how to add this into my exercise diary on a daily basis. I'm a single mom, full time student and now with this new job not sure on how often I can get to the gym but want to add in the…

Observation: Pizza at 8 a.m.
I saw something this morning which really upset me and I need to figure out why I'm so disgruntled. I understand that not everyone feels the need to live a healthy and active lifestyle. We all have different motivations for living our lives the way we choose to do so. I, too, still have a long way to go on my journey but…

First REAL NSV
Okay so I've been a full time student for about six weeks, as well as a single working mother, etc etc. I've been working out since February 16 and have seen slight changes, been uber frustrated at the journey and haven't had any real "victories" to help push me along. Well today as I was leaving class my professor and I…

Frustrated and Discouraged
So I've been working out since February 16, 2010 when I decided that I needed a life change. Since then I believe that I have lost 15 LBS. However, I recently joined The BIggest Loser contest at the gym where we have to weigh in every week. My frustration comes from the following - When I weighed at the beginning of the…

Weigh-in Tomorrow with workout, what to eat?
Hello All, I have to weigh-in tomorrow morning then workout with my trainer. I'm wondering what I should eat because I'm nervous to weigh in. Running
Hello All, I am by no means a runner but have recently started doing a walk/jog interval on the treadmill as part of my cardio. I really want to build up my stamina to be able to run more so does anyone have any suggestions on how to become a full fledge runner? Right now I can do a minute and a half jog (probably more if…

Scale Fluctuation by 9 LBS
Hello All, Today I weighed in after a week and the scale said I was 9 LBS heavier than last week. How is this possible? I know that weight fluctuates and one can carry water weight, but I don't feel that I should be up 9 LBS. The only other thing I can think of is that last week was a "fluke" but I stepped on the scale…

Thyroid Ablation and Weight Loss

My issue is this - I had a thyroid ablation in October and since my thryoid is not working it's very hard to lose any weight. So far, I've lost just 5 LBS and I need to keep motivated. I am currently NOT on any thyroid meds…
