Why People Have to Squat Differently
"There is absolutely no one size fits all squat position. If you don't believe me, you are in for a treat. This article will help show you why athlete comfort should dictate squat width, why some people's (not EVERYONE) feet point out (no matter how much "mobility" work they do), why some people have a really hard time…

Breakfast is evil
Just kidding. But after more than a month of calorie-counting, I noticed that I consistently go over my daily limit on the days I have a decent breakfast (>300 cal). Generally, I don't bother with breakfast. I don't get hungry till 10:30-11, at which point I just wait for lunch. I mostly drink like a gallon of coffee when…

Do you stick with the site's recommendations?
This site has been tremendously helpful in the last couple of days since I decided to do this. Thank you all. I have a coupe of questions: First, my stats: Male, 36, 6'3", SW/CW 360, GW 250. Maintaining (building?) muscle mass...
...while losing fat. I've read around and tried to do my homework but remain confused: I started MFP very recently and have been losing pounds at a prodigious rate without too much effort (12 lbs in 2 weeks, currently at 348lbs). I know this will slow down at some point, but I am worried about making a significant dent…

Any newbies surprised by just how good it feels to exercise?
Granted this is my first week of cardio in years (and I hardly last more than half an hour on any one machine), but I find I have been... enjoying myself (!) and even looking forward to it so far. Lower back pain was a limiting factor years ago but somehow it doesn't seem too bad this time despite considerable weight gain.…

Booze...
I'm new here, and have been doing ok so far. But I just found out that my favorite cocktail is worth 750+ cals (!)... Having developped a substantial resistance to booze over years of uh, practice, I need at least 3 of those to get anywhere when I'm out (which I've been trying to limit to once a week, but in this time of…
