Sweet (with a little heat) honey Thai marinade
I found this marinade online, since I'm on a Thai kick. A quick taste test of the final product before pouring it onto the chicken proved this was a great idea for tomorrow's cookout. Marinade: 1/4 cup honey 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce 3-4 garlic cloves, minced 3 tablespoons spicy oyster sauce Red pepper flakes and chili…

Ham question
I have some delicious spiral glazed ham leftover from Easter. I accidentally left said leftovers in a bag in my purse for around three hours. Is it worth the possible gastrointestinal distress to still eat it? My stomach is saying yes, but my brain is saying no.

The best stir fry sauce
Gosh, I love coupons. I was able to get this for $1.50 a bottle with a $1/one coupon. I love stir fry, I love spicy stuff, so I figured "why not?" Only 25 calories per tablespoon, and this sauce packs a punch. I'm sad I need to wait until tomorrow to eat my stir fry (I meal prepped for tomorrow afternoon). Can't wait to go…

Eating 20 eggs in one day
Edit: this thread isn't serious. I want to try it, but I know realistically I will hate eggs if I ever did this. And I love them too much to do that. I saw a thread recently where an individual on here monomealed Snickers bars for the day, and it got me thinking. What could I eat a lot of to hit my goals? If I ate 20 eggs…

336 days, 29.8lbs gone.
Can't believe I'm posting my "before" photo. I wasn't one of those smart people who took a photo of when they first began, but the "before" photo is from one of my many false starts on this site since 2011. The left is April of 2012. The right was taken tonight, right after my steak dinner. :) I started here on March 14th,…

Anyone do doglifts?
I've been wanting to get into lifting, and I figure, what better way than to start at home! I have a dog who's about 70lbs, and likes being picked up. I figure I can do a few sets of 5 reps picking him up and putting him down. What's the best form for doing doglifts? I kid. Anyone have some good weight lifting program…

Affording your new lifestyle: tips and tricks for the grocery store!
As a college student, I have a pretty tight budget to go on. I've been on this journey for nine months now, and through extreme couponing and smart shopping, I've been able to afford to eat well on a budget! I'm going to divide this up into a few different sections, with photos of how my kitchen and pantry is set up, and…

Why didn't I do this sooner?!
I've been a food scale owner for almost a year now. Ever since I've gotten it, I've logged religiously down to the ounce/gram. However, recipes were always frustrating, and it was always taking stuff out/putting it back in/ect when dividing up the recipe into equal portions. I would weigh it, divide it by the servings I…

It's a horrible day when...
You run out of peanut butter, you can't get to the store to get more peanut butter due to snow, and you can't get to Dunks because the roads are bad and the sidewalks aren't clear to walk. :'(

Barilla Plus Pasta- worth it?
I have some coupons that can help me land boxes of Barilla Plus Protein pasta for $1 a box. I like protein, I like pasta, and it's a small boost for my protein macro per serving; I figure there's nothing to lose by trying it out. Has anyone had it before? How was the taste? Worth the money for it? While I would be spending…

Help setting calorie goal for lifting!
For someone who has lurked and been active on these forums the past year, I'm surprised I don't already know this...sorry for the redundant question! I've pretty much hit the end of my cutting journey, and I'm looking to get into lifting now. I have a friend willing to let me shadow them, and they will also be showing me…
