self-conscious at the pool
Hi everyone I'm so glad I found this support group. I've gotten some really encouraging comments already. What I haven't talked about in my other posts is how self-conscious I am at the pool. I'm a weak swimmer (now) but that doesn't worry me because I'm pretty confident I can learn to swim well. I LOVE the water and feel…

Swimming for fitness, health, and weight loss--advice and tips please
I am unable to do many exercises because of health issues with my leg. However, I am able to swim. Unfortunately, I'm a pretty weak swimmer. I can barely swim one length (25 metres) without stopping at least once. So I have set a goal to swim 12 lengths non-stop by Easter. That's 12 weeks to swim 12 lengths. Thankfully, I…

intermittent fasting/one meal a day
has anyone done this? how do you find it for losing weight? i'm not really a breakfast person and I think I could happily eat one main meal a day with a couple snacks, and limit the time frame in which I eat those meals... what's other people's experience of this particular lifestyle?

Hi MFP community, newbie here... 1,300 cals
 I just joined this site on Monday and been reading the message board. There's so much great information here and support, and enjoying using the tools. Never thought I would be able to keep a 'food diary' but so far so good, and it's definitely making me more conscious of what I eat so I'm making better food…
