can't stop craving sugar!
I admit, I'm a self proclaimed sugar addict. Ever since I really started watching what I eat, I've been doing MUCH better with my sugars. A month goes by with very little craving, but for the last few days, I've been craving it like a mad woman! I try to chew gum, eat fruit, whatever, but nothing is working. What do you do…

cooking lunch for the week
I try to cook lunch on Sunday for Monday-Friday. I'm burned out on quinoa and spaghetti squash fixed different ways. Does anyone else try to cook for the week? Any suggestions on something that keeps well?

anyone running with DDD?
I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease in my bottom three vertebrae about four years ago. I've been doing C25K for the past couple of months and really enjoy it, but I started feeling a little numbness in one of my toes. When I went to my doc to get checked out, she told me it was probably due to my DDD and that I…

exercise calories
When you exercise and log it, MFP automatically puts the calories as a deficit. My question is, although you can eat your calories back, does MFP take into account ratios for fat/sodium/potassium/etc that should be the correct amount for the calories you can eat back? Maybe I'm over thinking this, but if I have calories…

crockpot calories?
I'm making bbq chicken tonight for dinner. It has bbq sauce and italian dressing as part of the recipe. If you have ever used a crockpot or slow cooker, you know that there ends up being a LOT more liquid than you start with. Because of this, I'm not sure how to count my calories for the recipe! Obviously, I'll add the…

exercise ideas
I hurt my ankle a couple of Sundays ago, and I guess it's worse than I thought. My doctor told me absolutely NO running until I heal, so I need some ideas for exercise I can do at home. I have an exercise ball, a treadmill, and some light weights. I don't really have any access to a gym, so I'm kind of limited in what I…

sprain?
I ran yesterday (C2K5 week 5) and misstepped when slowing down from a run to a walk. Nothing hurt, and I finished the run with no problems. Today, I noticed I was getting a twinge in my ankle and have a knot between my ankle and my heel. I have full range of motion, and the knot only hurts when I apply significant pressure…

I realize now the reason I don't eat beef
My husband asked if we could have steaks for dinner. I rarely ever eat beef and much prefer chicken. It's been a long time since we've had steaks, so I complied (with organic grass fed beef). The smallest boneless ribeye I could find was a pound! It appears to have very little fat, which is good, but still...a POUND!…

frustrated with my HRM
I have a treadmill at home and have been doing C25K. I bought a HRM because I wanted to make sure my calories burned were a more accurate number than the treadmill was giving me. I have a high resting heart rate (around 80), so I fixed my settings accordingly as well as set the sensivity to the highest setting. After I ran…

new with some questions
I honestly have no idea how many calories I was eating before I began eating healthier. I set my goals to 1.5 pounds/week which puts me at 1470 calories per day. When I found my BMR under tools, it says to eat at least 1629 calories per day. To be honest, I don't always even eat my 1470 a day and am usually right around…
