I weigh every morning and night as I like to keep an eye on trends and fluctuations. I spent today eating chocolate and more carbs and lazing about and weigh less now than I did this morning. Further proof that weight loss is not linear!

does metabolism change a lot over 30?
5 years go ago when I was 26 I successfully and relatively easily lost 6 stone by counting calories and walking daily, but over the years got lazy and inactive and it all crept on again. This time round I've lost 6 lb since Christmas and now appear stuck around the 219lbs mark. I'll lose 2lb one week then 1 will reappear…

I'm entirely confusedm , I've never used TDEE OR BMR numbers to lose weight before, I lost 6 stone 5 years ago by calorie counting and walking, and ate between 1200-1400 cals a day. Too much fat and protein?
I have been monitoring my food diary for a few weeks, I'm on 1200 cals a day, and should be having 40g fat a day and 60g protein, but I go over both of these by around 20g daily.
