Building muscle and losing weight at the same time?
I know this is pretty hard to do since one requires a surplus in calories and the other requires a deficit, but is it possible to do if overweight? My BMI is 27.6 and I'm 5'7 176 lbs. I've been eating at a deficit for about 5 months and have been eating between 1300 and 1600 calories a day, jogging 3 days a week, and doing…

How active do you think I am?
I've lost 8-10 pounds since joining MFP and I'm updating my calorie goal. I'm on summer break now and I mainly just lay around in bed besides getting up to do things like chores and eating/bathroom and then I do an hour long workout at night before bed. Why would I not lose weight?
I'm new to dieting and working out and I've been looking in the forums to learn up and avoid making mistakes. I've been on MFP for 4 days now and so far, I've eaten under my calorie goal each day and burned more calories than my exercise daily goal. My daily calorie goal is 1810 and my exercise goal is 228, but I've been…
