An Awkward Secret
So I am doing a TON of arm exercises right now because I sprained my ankle and I gotta burn calories somehow. Now for the Awkward truth, after I am done working out it is difficult to take my shirt off. And REALLY difficult to take my over-the-head bra off, I have a back fastening bra but it is dirty this week. My fear,…

I will not sucomb to frustration...
I sprained my ankle which sucks I was up to being able to do around 700 calories per hour work out before that. I saw my trainer and she did come up with exercises I should be able to do without hurting my self, but since they are lower impact they burn less calories. It is really frustrating, but I guess I gotta push…

Sprained Ankle
So I fell on my way back from the gym yesterday (coordination of a swan with an inner ear problem, my friends came to watch my dance final in undergrad because I am so uncoordinated) and I am pretty sure I sprained my ankle (poor ankle I keep reinjuring it). So I see my trainer on Monday but I am supposed to exercise…

Really? REALLY!
Ok take this as I mean it I hope. I work in vocational rehabilitation working with people with Physical and Mental Disabilities that prevent them from working full time, however, the goverment states that they are healthy enough to work part-time and can not get Disability. So in order to continue getting their Medicare,…

Proud
So I stepped on the scale this morning and it happened, a week before I had planned. 199.5lbs, under 200lbs. I stared in disbelief, I was unpreparred, I reweighed myself 3 times, but the number remained the same. The first big goal is done, I DO NOT weigh over 200lbs!

A True Ramble of Trying to Stay on Track
Gained weight this morning, I hope it just because I ate late at night, or maybe it's muscle but I don't think you gain a pound overnight even with the work-out of doom I have been doing. Time to chill, take a day off from the gym and find reality, I have clearly gone insane.

Owwww!
So I have been going to the gym for roughly 5 months, I got engaged and my fiance and I decided to invest the money in a trainer. She identified all of my weak muscles and gave me exercises for them. And now I hurt, like really bad, I know that exercise (as long as I don't push it too far) will actually losen me up and…

HRM
So my HRM says I am burning more than anywhere else. It is 100 more than the machine says and 50 higher than MFP is it really more accurate, I am hestitant to dive in and eat more calories based on it. Thought?

Hey-ya
Ok I have been on here a lot in the last week, poking my nose in all over the place but it occurs to me I never introduced myself. Sooo, hello I am Izzy, I am 23 years old and newly engaged. I am getting in shape for a lot of reasons. I was super skinny growing up and ate triple what I eat now, college hit and I gained…

HRM
So I bought a Polar F6 (ouch!) so I am supposed to trust its reading over what the machines say when I work out right? The idea that I have a count that is 90% is super appealing, I know one with a chest strap is more accurate but I cannot afford it, and every one said polar was the brand to have. Did I do right…

My New Obsession
Ok, So I hate to cook. But I have come up with my take-out dilemma. I actually ask for a box with my meal. It is not embarassing or awkward like it sounds and it rocks! I live in NYC so I do have the advantage that all chain restaurants are legally required to put how many calories that are in a dish on the menu, but it…

My odd odd diet
Ok I should start this out by saying I have this weird disorder that means I do not process carbohydrates correctly, this means the need for carbs most people have is doubled for me. Since my body uses them less effectively it wants them more. This means, I always want a delicous bready something. I was actually a…

Trying to do this to last
So my freshman year of college I was 145lbs and 5'9" I am now 205ish pounds. Never really sure how I gained the weight but I don't like it. I know that 145lbs was super skinny for me (you could see my hip bone). But it was easy, I ate whatever I wanted and didn't gain weight back then. I have been going to the gym pretty…
