Sad But True, I Fell Off the Wagon
3 years ago I lost 85 lbs and was working out with a trainer 3 times a week. I have NEVER felt better. Shortly after, I went through a divorce, got into a new unexpected relationship that is very happy and fulfilling. But guess what, he eats like crap. One bad dinner (bad in food choices), lead to two, lead to 3, etc.…

NSV just in time for my birthday.
Well my original goal was to be "fit by 45". I am 45 today and although I am not at my final goal, I have reached my original goal of 80 lbs and being fit. I am so much healthier than I was a year ago. I have 100x the energy than I did a year ago. I look better and I feel better. And last night I tried on a size 12 jeans…

New NSV
I went to a fall festival last night and multiple people told me my jeans were way too big. I had not tried on the next size down yet because I didn't think I was even close. So today I was out shopping and thought what the heck, I will at least try the next size down on and see how close I am. THEY FIT LIVE A FREAKING…

NSV - Even Impressed the Doctor
Went to the doctor today because of an allergic reaction to a bee sting. I have not been to the doctor since February so not at all since I have lost any of my weight. He was SOO impressed with my weight loss. He went on and on about it and about how good I look and how proud he is of me (this man has been my doctor for 25…

NSV - Two Days in a Row
Wow, two NSV days back to back. I feel so pumped right now. I just found out today when I received the monthly newsletter from my trainer that I am the "Client of the Month" (it was a surprise, he didn't tell me in advance). My head is now BIGGER than my butt. LOL.

OMG
Here are two pictures that my trainer just posted to his website today. It made me cry. I know 50 lbs. is a big weight loss but I guess since I have lost it gradually, I haven't really noticed what a huge difference it has made. The first picture was actually taken in January 2010 but it is the same weight as my starting…

Could Diet Soda Really be the Culprit
I am in week 20 of dieting and week 11 of working with a trainer. From last Wednesday until today, I did not change my calorie intake (1200 per day) and I did not change my workout (3x per week for 45 minutes) and yet I lost 10 lbs in one week (been averaging 2.7 lbs). The ONLY thing that I changed, was that I drank very,…

NSV..Woot woot
A friend just posted a picture of me from last weekend on Facebook and as I was looking at it, I realize I only have 1 chin. Woot woot. I don't notice in the mirror because I guess I don't really look at myself that close but you can really see it in the picture.

NSV...I almost cried.
So this morning I pulled out an old pair of size 18 jeans. I just wanted to see how close I am to being in them again. I slipped (literally slipped, no pulling, no tugging, no holding my breath) them right on. They are a perfect fit. I have not been in a size 18 jeans in 14 years (I hate to admit that but it is true and…

Delicious Substitute
One of my all time favorite meals is chicken fajitas. But in a restaurant with the tortillas, chips, cheese, sour cream, beans, etc. it doesn't take long to have a whole day worth of calories in a single meal. This has been one of the things I have missed while dieting...until tonight. I found a delicious substitute.…

Proud of Myself
So, I have been having issues with my heel on my left foot feeling bruised and my shoe seeming to rub it during workouts. So tonight I head to Kohl's to try on some new shoes and am totally shocked to find that I have lost enough weight that I need a 1/2 size smaller shoe. Is that even possible? I tried on 4 different…

Clueless
Anybody else have a clueless significant other? Let me explain. I started this weight loss journey the first of March. I have lost 34 lbs. total, gone down 2 pants and 2 shirt sizes. Working out 3 times a week with a trainer and totally changed my eating habits. My husband's reaction?....nothing, nada, zilch. Not a single…

Size Versus Appearance
The other day I was working out with my trainer and he asked me if I could be any size what would it be. My immediate response was "2" (said through laughter), my body structure would never allow me to be a 2, which was his exact response. My serious response was "an 8". His response was "do you want to be a size 8 or do…

Trainer
Anybody working with a trainer? If so, is your trainer a sadist? LOL My legs would swear today that mine is a sadist. Have you worked with a trainer before or currently? Is it work the money? He kicks my butt but so far I am enjoying it....I can see and feel a difference. I am hoping this is the push I need to stay on…

Yay Me!!
Went shopping today because my jeans are getting too big just to see if I could get in the next size down. I DID!!! And they are loose enough that in no time I might be down another size. I am soooo excited. They were an 18. I haven't been in an 18 in 14 years.

Olive Oil
Okay I am confused. Why do all the diet doctors, programs, etc. go on and on about using olive oil instead of canola, corn and vegetable oil? The calories per tablespoon is the same. What is the difference then?

Refusing to Not be Fit by my next birthday.
I am new to the site, just started it today. I was using a different site and liked it too. I think I always do better when I truly keep track of what I am eating. It is easy to nibble here and nibble there in a day and lose track but with sites like this you don't get to do that if you are true to what you put in your…
